At the Roundtable Discussion connecting US businesses and Vietnamese localities organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in San Francisco (USA) on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Week 2023, witnessed by the President, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Saigontel Green Alliance signed a memorandum of understanding to research and build an Innovation Center invested by the private sector at the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park.
Under the witness of the President, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Saigontel Green Alliance signed an agreement to research and build an Innovation Center.
The center is expected to include basic components such as: Green Growth Operation Center; Center for consulting on emission reduction and carbon credits; Human resource training, especially human resources for semiconductor chip and high-tech production; Center for chip and high-tech development and design; Center for biotechnology, etc.
Also during APEC Week, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment Promotion Conference 2023 took place on November 16, chaired by Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City, and invited guests including the San Francisco City Government, Business Executives for National Security (BENS), American Critical Minerals Association (ACMA), Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC), National Small Business Association (NSBA), Ampere Computing Corporation, Exmar, and guests attending the APEC Conference 2023.
At the conference, Mr. Phan Van Mai gave a speech on attracting investment in the city's high-tech sector. At the same time, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the guests witnessed the Saigontel Green Alliance signing with members of the semiconductor, high-tech and innovation association such as Context Labs, Semiconductor Industry Association, Corner Stones Group, E-mobility, Solis Power to attract US businesses that are looking to expand their business in Vietnam to the Innovation Center proposed by the Green Alliance to invest in the city's High-Tech Park.
Also at the conference, the World Bank (WB) and the National Small Business Association (NSBA) expressed their trust and interest in participating in the alliance in providing consultancy on implementing the roadmap for emission reduction in localities, and NSBA's support in implementing the innovation center in Ho Chi Minh City...
