Consulting on urban and rural space development plans integrated into the Capital Planning

According to the Summary Report on the orientation of urban and rural space development integrated into the Capital Planning, period 2021-2030, vision to 2050, the representative of the National Institute of Urban and Rural Planning (consulting unit) said that the goal of the planning is to develop Hanoi Capital as a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" City; become the center, the driving force to promote the development of the Red River Delta, the key economic region of the North and the whole country; a globally connected city, striving to develop on par with the capitals of developed countries in the region.

The planning scheme also emphasizes that the Red River is the green axis, the central landscape, and harmonious urban development on both sides of the river in Hanoi. Research to increase the proportion of land for urban development; build a model of a city directly under the capital in the northern region (Dong Anh, Me Linh, Soc Son) and the western region (Hoa Lac, Xuan Mai); build a smart city based on the development of the area on both sides of Nhat Tan - Noi Bai (Vo Nguyen Giap) road; plan to develop underground urban space, green space and public space.

In particular, the consulting unit was required to carefully study the Central Resolutions and concretize the ideas in the Resolutions into the plan.
