Vivid propaganda content
In June 2023, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Naval Region 3 Command and the People's Committee of Hoang Sa district to organize the exhibition "Youth with the homeland's sea and islands" at the Provincial Cultural - Sports Center.
The exhibition introduced and displayed documents and images on three topics: the history of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa archipelago, the map of Hoang Sa island district in English and Vietnamese; activities to protect Vietnam's sovereignty over its seas and islands in the current period; and the youth of Quang Nam and Da Nang with their homeland's seas and islands. The organizing committee selected images from the Naval Region 3 Command, the core force in managing and protecting sovereignty over the seas and islands from Quang Binh to Binh Dinh, including Con Co and Ly Son islands, Hoang Sa archipelago... In 2023, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department directed the active implementation of the photo contest on the theme "Fatherland on the shore of the waves" with many authors and quality entries, awarded certificates of merit by the Central Propaganda Department.
Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Thi Thu Lan said that over the past years, the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee has advised the Provincial Party Committee to issue an annual plan to disseminate information about the sea and islands. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has directed and urged relevant agencies to promote the dissemination of the Party and State's viewpoints, policies, and solutions to handle issues related to the sea and islands, thereby contributing to raising awareness among cadres, party members, and people about the role, position, and importance of the sea and islands in the cause of national construction and defense.
The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department organized the provision of information and orientation of propaganda content on seas and islands. Quang Nam Newspaper opened special pages and columns, and sent reporters to participate in working trips to islands and offshore islands according to the program of the Navy Command. District Party Committees, Town Party Committees, City Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee proactively directed propaganda activities on seas and islands.
In 2023, Fisheries Control Squadron No. 3 (Tam Giang Commune, Nui Thanh) signed with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department on a program of coordinated activities for the period 2023 - 2025. Notably, the work of coordinating propaganda on seas and islands; propaganda to attract human resources to build the Navy at high schools in the province. This morning, March 27, in Dong Ha City (Quang Tri), the Naval Region 3 Command coordinated with the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to organize a conference to review the coordination of propaganda work on seas and islands in 2023 with the participation of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department of Quang Nam, Da Nang, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue... Rear Admiral Pham Van Luyen - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Navy attended.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Naval Region 3 said that in 2023, Naval Region 3 and the Propaganda Departments of provinces and cities have comprehensively deployed the contents according to the plan to coordinate propaganda in many forms, new and flexible ways, closely combining propaganda forms with practical activities, responding to developments in the situation, promptly orienting awareness and action for officers, soldiers and people.
Propaganda work has been deployed promptly, effectively, in line with the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, especially oral propaganda activities, propaganda on mass media, competitions, and movements towards the sea, islands, and borders; thereby contributing to raising awareness, responsibility, building trust, affection, and interest of all classes of people, firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
In 2023, Naval Region 3 hosted over 250 reporters from 40 press and radio agencies, publishing over 1,300 news, articles, and reports reflecting activities on the sea and islands. Naval Region 3 successfully completed the task of transporting 3 working delegations to visit and inspect the Truong Sa archipelago and the DKI platform. The program "The Navy is a support for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea" and sponsoring 12 children of fishermen in difficult circumstances in the provinces from Quang Binh to Binh Dinh was well implemented by Naval Region 3...
At the conference, the delegates discussed and exchanged experiences in propaganda work on the sea and islands and approved the contents of the direction and tasks of coordinating propaganda in the coming time. Rear Admiral Pham Van Luyen emphasized that the Command of Region 3 and the propaganda departments of provinces and cities need to promote the achieved results; constantly expand the scope of propaganda; continue to make the coordination of propaganda on the sea and islands practical, in-depth and widespread.
