In option 1, the high school graduation exam is scheduled to be held on June 21 and 22. This option is supported by many localities, experts and public opinion.
Option 2, the Ministry of Education and Training plans to organize on June 26 and 27.
According to the exam regulations, candidates participating in the 2024 high school graduation exam will take 4 exams including: Literature, Math, Foreign Language, Natural Science (including the components of Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Social Science (including the components of History, Geography, Civic Education).
The 2024 high school graduation exam is scheduled to be held on June 21-26 or June 26-27.
High School Graduation 2024 is the final exam for students studying under the old general education program.
From 2025, the high school graduation exam will be for candidates studying the 2018 general education program. The 2025 graduation exam is expected to have many changes in exam subjects compared to the present.
The Ministry of Education and Training also informed that the 2024 university admission schedule is expected to start from July 10. Candidates can register, adjust, and add admission wishes until July 25, with no limit on the number of times and number of wishes. From July 28 to August 3, candidates pay admission fees online.
On July 20, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) for health and pedagogy majors, then process candidates' admission requests from August 5 to 10.
Before 5:00 p.m. on August 12, schools must announce the benchmark scores and notify candidates who passed the first round of admission. By 5:00 p.m. on August 18, candidates must complete online admission confirmation.
Thus, compared to last year, the university admission schedule and announcement of benchmark scores for 2024 are about 10 days earlier.
