After the successful first final day (May 10) with 3 gold medals and 4 silver medals, Vietnamese athletes entered the 5 final matches on the afternoon of May 11. Of which, 3 matches had the participation of women: Trieu Thi Phuong Thuy (48kg), Bui Yeu Ly (57kg), Nguyen Thi Chieu (54kg), 2 matches of men: Nguyen Hong Quan (71kg) and Nguyen Thanh Tung (75kg).

Leading the way in the women's 48kg category, Trieu Thi Phuong Thuy won both first two rounds against Cambodian fighter Soeng Moeuy, thereby winning the gold medal. This is also the fourth gold medal of Kun Khmer Vietnam at this year's SEA Games. The leading hope of the Kun Khmer Vietnam team today is veteran boxer and world champion in Muay - Bui Yen Ly. In the final of the 57kg category, Bui Yen Ly overwhelmingly defeated the host fighter Sreyphin Toun in 3 rounds with a score of 30-26 to win the 5th gold medal for the Kun Khmer team.
In the remaining three finals, Vietnamese athletes failed to win any more gold medals. Nguyen Thi Chieu lost to the host athlete in the final of the women's 54kg category, winning a silver medal. Similarly, Nguyen Thanh Tung only won a silver medal in the men's 75kg category after losing 1-2 to the host athlete from Cambodia in the final. Nguyen Hong Quan withdrew from the men's 71kg category final against the host athlete due to injury.
Thus, at the end of the Kun Khmer event at the 32nd SEA Games, the Vietnamese team won 5 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. The coach of the Vietnamese Kun Khmer team competing at the 32nd SEA Games, Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat - a legend of Muay Thai, said that Kun Khmer has many similarities with Muay, most of the Vietnamese fighters competing in Kun Khmer at the 32nd SEA Games are those who have practiced and competed in Muay. Because these two martial arts have many similarities, the experienced Vietnamese fighters did not have difficulty adapting. With the achievement of 5 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 5 bronze medals, the Vietnamese Kun Khmer team concluded a successful congress.
