The American TV star tried to have a baby with her new husband through in vitro fertilization but was unsuccessful.

Kourtney Kardashian, who already has three children with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, wants to have more children with her new husband Travis Barker, 47, because she "wants to do something together with the love of her life".

Sharing her journey to "find a baby" on the family's reality TV show "The Kardashians", Kourtney confessed to using extreme and bizarre methods to improve her chances of conceiving, including drinking Travis' semen and vaginal steaming. Finally, when all efforts failed, the couple turned to in vitro fertilization (IVF).

In 2022, at the age of 43, the star decided to undergo IVF. However, it was a not-so-smooth and challenging experience.

Kourtney froze her eggs before starting a relationship with Travis in 2020. However, all seven of her eggs did not survive the thawing process, with none forming embryos.

Kourtney felt the damage to her body as the drugs she was taking caused her to go into early menopause. In addition, the beauty also gained weight uncontrollably because of the drugs. At that time, many people left negative comments about her round figure in the photos posted on Instagram. Others asked if Kourtney was pregnant when they saw her unusually large waist.

"It's rude to comment on someone when you don't know what they're going through," Kourtney complained on the show. Likewise, her husband Travis also admitted that having a baby was "super hard."

Kourtney and Travis recently revealed they've taken a 10-month break from IVF treatments to focus on enjoying their married life, as well as being more prepared to start the process again.

"We're officially done with our IVF cycle. We want another child more than anything, but I really believe in what God has for us. If it's a child, I believe it will happen," she said. "Being happy and being a good parent is so important."

The TV star also said she needed time to eliminate toxins in her body tissues to have better quality eggs.

"What you have to do is: no sex, no caffeine, no alcohol, no sugar. You have to do a strict diet for 5 days to reset your body. All of that helps to clear the toxins from your body tissues. Then, go to the spa and do treatments every day for 4 hours. Everything has to be done in a strict and purposeful way. I do it in the hope of having a baby soon."

Kourtney and Travis started dating publicly in January 2021. In October, the rocker got down on one knee and proposed to Kourtney on the beach surrounded by thousands of roses. Kourtney revealed that she and Travis have a passionate love, compatible both spiritually and sexually.
