Kon Tum supports disadvantaged students in high school graduation exams

On June 23, the Department of Education and Training of Kon Tum province said that districts and cities have agreed to allocate funds to support poor students and those in difficult circumstances in the 2023 high school graduation exam.

Kon Tum province has 5,028 candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam in 2023.

Accordingly, the People's Committees of districts and cities will support 1,445 candidates with difficult circumstances to take the high school graduation exam in 2023, with a total cost of 480 million VND.

The candidates receiving support are ethnic minorities or candidates from poor households, orphans currently studying in the province.

In the 2023 high school graduation exam, Kon Tum province has 5,028 candidates registered to take the exam with 12 exam sites, including 5 sites in Kon Tum city and 7 sites in districts. Kon Tum province also established 9 backup exam sites, including 2 sites in Kon Tum city and 7 sites in districts.

The province has 112 candidates exempted from the 2023 high school graduation exam. Among them, 1 candidate with a severe disability is exempted from all exams and considered for high school graduation recognition. In addition, 111 candidates are exempted from the foreign language exam. Of these, 100 have IELTS English certificates and 11 have HSK level 3 Chinese certificates.

Kon Tum province has 4,429 candidates taking the 2022 high school graduation exam. The high school graduation rate is 97.49%. Of these, 2 candidates passed due to exam exemption and 2 cases were specially considered for graduation recognition. Notably, Kon Tum province has 13 candidates scoring 10 points. Of which, 8 are history exams, 3 are civics exams, 1 is English exam and 1 is biology exam.
