The workshop aims to continue the Vietnam - Korea training cooperation program, with the participation of leaders of state agencies, Vietnamese and Korean enterprises, and units operating in the field of education and training. Mr. Doan Anh Kiet, Head of Training Department, Training Center - Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park chaired the workshop.
The workshop took place at the Training Center - Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Byun Ki-Jung, Director of the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) office in Vietnam, emphasized: This event creates momentum to contribute to improving technological competitiveness and productivity through technological innovation in manufacturing enterprises. The purpose is to prepare for the future ecosystem by sharing global trends in manufacturing innovation as well as policies and technologies of the two countries.
He shared: KITECH is a research and development organization for technology support for typical small and medium enterprises (SMEs), established by the Korean government 30 years ago. Korea will hardly become a developed country if SME companies do not have technological development, that is the reason why KITECH was established as a research institute specializing in technology support for SMEs. Currently, KITECH is a government organization with more than 1,000 researchers with doctoral degrees along with a variety of modern equipment, not only supporting research and development (R&D) according to national policies but also supporting R&D and technology support in production for SMEs in different technology fields.
In the field of mechanical engineering, KITECH has specialized technologies to provide technical support to SMEs such as textiles, robots, advanced manufacturing systems and smart manufacturing innovation technology. The institute also has core technology experts for the digital transformation of SMEs. "We will exchange technology through workshops to transfer our experts and technology to Vietnamese companies," said the Director of KITECH Institute.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Huy, Director of SHTP Training, presented a thank you letter to Mr. Byun Ki-Jung, Director of KITECH Vietnam
In Vietnam, the Vietnam - Korea Training Cooperation Center (VKTCC) is a training model that adapts, develops and supplies high-quality human resources according to Korean standards in the fields of precision mechanics (design, processing), digital transformation for all SMEs and high-tech enterprises. VKTCC is implemented on the basis of unified cooperation between KITECH with the participation of the Ho Chi Minh City Supporting Industry Development Center (CSID) and Vietnamese and Korean enterprises.
In the coming time, VKTCC will cooperate with Korean partners with extensive experience in the field of training to develop and implement high-quality human resource training programs according to Korean standards; combine training and supply of high-quality human resources, focusing on the fields of precision mechanics, automation, digital transformation and smart factories. These are fundamental technologies that help Vietnamese enterprises adapt and participate deeply in the global production value chain in the strong development trend of the fourth industrial revolution.
The conference organizers presented thank you letters and flowers to the speakers.
At the same time, VKTCC participates in consulting and supporting the transfer of advanced technology from Korea to increase production capacity for Vietnamese enterprises and gradually narrow the gap in science and technology between the two countries; supports Vietnamese enterprises to improve labor productivity and product quality through training activities and organizing vocational skills assessment programs for workers according to Korean standards.
