Import-export turnover at Gia Lai - Kon Tum Customs increased by 50%

(HQ Online) - As of March 15, import-export turnover at Gia Lai-Kon Tum Customs Department reached 114 million USD, an increase of 50.3% over the same period in 2023.

Of which, export turnover in Gia Lai reached 57.5 million USD, an increase of 126.7% over the same period in 2023. It is estimated that by March 31, the total turnover in Gia Lai will reach 68.3 million USD. In Kon Tum province, import-export turnover in the period reached 56.5 million USD, an increase of 11.9% over the same period in 2023. It is estimated that by March 31, the total import-export turnover in Kon Tum will reach 66 million USD.

Thanks to the improvement of import-export activities, the budget revenue results of the Gia Lai - Kon Tum Customs Department during the period were also very positive. Specifically, the total budget revenue as of March 15 reached 72.1 billion VND, an increase of 49.1% over the same period in 2023 and completed nearly 21% of the assigned target.

Specifically, Gia Lai province's revenue reached 26.4 billion VND, reaching 52.8% of the target and increasing by 287.4% over the same period in 2023. The main source of revenue is from VAT on imported machinery and equipment of hydropower investment projects, imported rubber and export tax on limestone powder and fertilizers (with mineral resource value and energy cost of over 51%). The total revenue by March 31 in Gia Lai is estimated to reach 34 billion VND, reaching 68% of the assigned target.

In Kon Tum province, revenue also increased by 10% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 45.7 billion VND, equivalent to 15.5% of the assigned target. The main sources of revenue in Kon Tum are value-added tax on electricity, rubber, raw wood, raw sugar, tapioca starch and export tax on iron and steel, and fertilizer. The total budget revenue by March 31 in Kon Tum is estimated to reach 61 billion VND, equivalent to 20.7% of the assigned target.
