From the beginning of 2024, enterprises in Kien Xuong district have implemented synchronous, flexible and appropriate management solutions, mobilizing all resources to strive to complete the set targets and tasks.

Workers work at Nam Cao Linen Weaving Cooperative.

At Viet Thai Garment Export Joint Stock Company, nearly 2,000 workers have returned to work since the first days of the year, making efforts to carry out the emulation movement of good workers, creative workers, and improving product quality.

Worker Phi Thi Hien excitedly shared: Right from the first working days of the year, we all had stable jobs, everyone was enthusiastic about production to ensure the assigned output. The Company's leaders visited, encouraged, and gave lucky money to the workers for good luck. The concern of the Company not only motivated us to work enthusiastically but also contributed to stabilizing labor relations at the unit. I wish the Company will develop more and more and take better care of the lives of the workers.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bach, Director of the garment factory of Viet Thai Garment Export Joint Stock Company (Thanh Tan Industrial Park) affirmed: Although 2024 will still be full of difficulties, with the desire for innovation, the factory's staff and workers will be determined to turn challenges into opportunities and achieve medium-term and long-term goals. In 2024, we will be determined to complete the target of increasing revenue by 10%. To do this, we will continuously expand the scale of production and build more factories. Therefore, the company hopes to continue to receive attention and favorable conditions from the leaders of Kien Xuong district.

The bustling atmosphere and determination are also reflected in craft villages in the district. At Nam Cao Linen Weaving Cooperative, nearly 200 workers have returned to perform the steps of pulling linen, spinning silk, winding tubes, winding shafts, weaving fabric..., the sound echoing throughout the craft village.

Ms. Hoang Thi Huong said: I am over 70 years old but still have a stable job thanks to the traditional profession. Being able to do steps such as spinning, winding, and spinning silk is an honor and pride because I have contributed a small part to maintaining the profession left by my ancestors. Therefore, as long as I am healthy, I will continue to work and am determined to do so that the cooperative can develop further.

Ms. Luong Thanh Hanh, Director of Nam Cao Linen Weaving Cooperative, shared: What makes me happiest is to have accompanied the people to restore the linen weaving profession, which has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. The craft village has attracted a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to visit and shop, including about 10,000 visitors from more than 30 countries to visit and experience the craft and its products. In 2024, the cooperative will continue to develop the craft village in combination with tourism development to bring linen weaving products to many countries around the world. To do this, in addition to traditional handicraft products, we will develop a variety of modern products suitable for the market, actively participate in events and exhibitions on silk products around the world and train the younger generation to preserve and develop them to match the uniqueness of the craft village.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, Chairwoman of Kien Xuong District Business Association, after the Tet holiday, the labor and production atmosphere at enterprises in the whole district has become bustling again. Enterprises have set development goals and competed to reach the finish line early. Many enterprises have immediately started implementing plans and strategies, expanding production scale, consumption markets and signing new orders. This affirms the optimistic signals about 2024, which is expected to create a breakthrough for enterprises. The labor and production emulation movement has been launched by many enterprises, and workers have actively responded with the goal of improving quality and exceeding the set plan.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, Chairman of Kien Xuong District People's Committee, said: To avoid the situation of "slowly at the beginning of the year and hastily at the end of the year", at the beginning of the year, the District People's Committee organized a campaign for enterprises to compete to boost production and business. Thereby, it is hoped that the business community will continue to promote its role as a vanguard force on the economic development front, grasp market development trends, proactively integrate, expand cooperation; promote investment in technological innovation and modern equipment to achieve the highest results. The district will always accompany and substantially remove difficulties and obstacles for enterprises to complete the socio-economic development goals in 2024 at a high level with a total production value increasing by 10.5% compared to 2023, and an average income per capita of 63 million VND or more.
