(NADS) - 2024 is the 10th year that Heritage Magazine of Vietnam Airlines organizes the "Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey 2024".
To mark the 10-year journey of the organization, the Heritage Photography Award - Heritage Journey 2024 has a special innovation. The official awards are sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, and the winning works are scored at the regional level according to the Association's Regulations. The 2024 award rules also have changes in the competition categories and award structure. Photo tours organized within the framework of the award are also carried out with the support of sponsors such as Land Rover Vietnam (February 2024) and a number of programs will continue to be carried out during the photo award period. The summary and award ceremony is expected to take place in September 2024 in Hanoi.
CONTEST RULES
1. Contestants:
Contestants include professional and amateur photographers from home and abroad.
Members of the Organizing Committee and the Jury are not allowed to participate in the contest.
2. Contest categories: 4 categories on the following topics:
(1) Culture - Heritage
(2) Landscape - Destination tourism (domestic and international)
(3) Lifestyle - Human Portrait - Vietnam Airlines Moments
(4) Special shooting techniques: drone, macro, underwater photography...
3. Regulations on works participating in the contest:
The entry is a photo reportage with a theme in one of the four contest categories;
Each photo reportage set (from 8-12 photos) includes at least 1 cover photo option (vertical photo, with a layout suitable for magazine cover);
Each photo reportage entry must have an introduction to the theme of the photo series (no more than 100 words), and a caption for each photo (no more than 20 words/ 1 photo caption);
Technical requirements for the photo set: Color or black and white. Digital photos (minimum 5MB/1 photo, 300dpi resolution for printing for Magazines and Exhibitions). The cover photo (minimum 10MB, 300dpi resolution) must be vertical in size 21.5 x 28cm; the photo layout must be placed on the publication's mantel; Photos must not be edited to distort the truth during post-processing;
The photo series must not violate copyright, the content must comply with the Law on Press and Vietnamese culture. The Organizing Committee is allowed to remove works that violate the Rules before, during and after the contest;
Each author can submit a maximum of 10 photo sets for all categories. Each photo set can only be entered into one theme.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Unwinning entries from photo contests organized by other organizations;
Entries must be new compositions within the last 3 years (from 2021).
TIME AND METHOD OF SUBMITTING WORKS :
Time: The contest lasts for 4 months, starting from April 1, 2024 to July 31, 2024.

The only final round will be held in mid-August 2024, judging all entries for all 4 months.
JUDGING METHOD: Each competition category will select 3 prizes, including:
One (01) Special Prize for each competition category (excellent in both photo reportage and cover photo plan;
One (01) Ministry Prize for each competition category (excellent photo collection);
One (01) Cover Award for each contest category (excellent cover photo design).
PRIZE STRUCTURE: 4 competition categories will include 12 Prizes, specifically:
04 Special Prizes, each prize includes two (02) international round-trip tickets within Vietnam Airlines' flight network (Class E tickets, ticket value does not include taxes, fees, charges)
04 Set Prizes, each prize includes four (04) domestic round-trip tickets within Vietnam Airlines' flight network (Class E tickets, ticket value does not include taxes, fees, charges)
04 Cover Prizes, each prize includes two (02) domestic round-trip tickets within Vietnam Airlines' flight network (Class E tickets, ticket value does not include taxes, fees, and charges).
MEDALS OF THE VIETNAMESE PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTISTS ASSOCIATION
01 Gold Medal - equivalent to Special Prize: for the Culture - Heritage photo category
01 Silver Medal - equivalent to the Ministry's award: for the category of Landscape - Destination Tourism
01 Bronze Medal - equivalent to Cover Award: for the category Lifestyle - Human Portrait - Vietnam Airlines Moments.
