On the morning of May 24, 2023, Than Ha Trading and Construction Company Limited held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of social housing in the Kim Hoa urban housing project (Kim Hoa commune, Me Linh district, Hanoi). Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, and representatives of departments, branches and sectors of the Hanoi People's Committee, Me Linh District People's Committee, and Phuc Yen City People's Committee (Vinh Phuc province) attended the ceremony.
Reporting on the project, Mr. Cao Tien Thang, Director of Than Ha Trading and Construction Company Limited, said that the project is located in a convenient location in terms of traffic and infrastructure, easily connecting to major traffic routes such as Ngo Mien Street, National Highway 2 and planned Ring Road 4. The project is planned to be built on 4 plots of land belonging to the Kim Hoa Urban Housing Project with 9 apartment buildings, each building is 9 floors above ground and 1 basement. The total investment capital of the project is 1,268 billion VND.
The total number of apartments in the project is 720, with areas ranging from 62 m2 to 69 m2 ; the total floor area is 96,776 m2 . The height of each building from the ground level to the roof top (excluding technical equipment on the roof) is 37.35 m. The project was created to serve low-income people in Kim Hoa Industrial Park, Phuc Thang Industrial Park, Quang Minh Industrial Park and other low-income people in Hanoi.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, said that implementing the Government's decisions on investment and construction of social housing for low-income people, Hanoi People's Committee aims to develop about 1.215 million square meters of new social housing and worker housing at prices suitable to the affordability of low-income and middle-income households in urban areas and of workers and laborers in industrial parks and export processing zones.
The city has been drastically and synchronously implementing many important solutions, focusing on speeding up procedures for approving investment policies for commercial housing projects and urban areas; at the same time, requiring investors to allocate at least 20-25% of the project's land fund to build social housing; directing the removal of difficulties and obstacles for enterprises with slow-to-implement urban projects.
Vice Chairman of the city Nguyen Trong Dong highly appreciated Than Ha Trading and Construction Company Limited for proactively contacting and closely coordinating with all levels and sectors to complete the procedures for starting the social housing project. This helps open up opportunities for nearly 18,000 workers who are having to rent houses to work at Quang Minh Industrial Park and many low-income workers who do not have houses in Me Linh district.
"This is a practical, vivid action, concretizing the Government's policy on building 1 million social housing apartments; contributing to solving the housing needs of people living and working in Me Linh district in particular and Hanoi capital in general; at the same time, gradually forming a new urban area, contributing greatly to promoting the socio-economic development of Me Linh district" - Vice Chairman Nguyen Trong Dong emphasized.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong also requested Than Ha Trading and Construction Company Limited to focus resources and human resources to speed up the progress of the public urban area, soon complete the project and put it into use; Me Linh district leaders focus on directing departments and offices of the district and Kim Hoa commune to always pay attention and create all favorable conditions to support investors and contractors to implement the project to ensure the set progress.
According to the reporter's investigation, the project is planned and designed in a modern and synchronous manner with full technical infrastructure, public services, green park system, etc. The project is designed with optimal functionality, suitable landscape architecture in the common space of Me Linh district urban area, helping low-income customers in Hanoi enjoy practical living amenities.
