Khanh Hoa supports 2 locations with potential for community tourism development

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued decisions to recognize two locations with potential for community tourism development in the province, including the agarwood xoi craft village (Van Thang commune, Van Ninh district) and Ninh Van commune (Ninh Hoa town).

According to the decision, organizations and individuals participating in investment and business exploitation at the above two locations will receive support according to the provisions of Article 2, Resolution No. 06/2022 dated July 19, 2022 of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council.

Specifically: organizations and individuals participating in investment and business exploitation will be allowed to install a system of signs and direction signs (maximum 15 million VND/location); develop tourism products (maximum 40 million VND/product); provide initial necessary equipment for individuals, households, and people in the community participating in providing tourism services (maximum 30 million VND/household); promote community tourism products (maximum 100 million VND/year/locality).

In addition, training courses are also organized to improve knowledge and skills in serving tourists for individuals, households, and people in the community participating in providing tourism services with a maximum of 100 million VND/year/locality.

Ninh Van Commune, Ninh Hoa Town is recognized as a location with potential for community tourism development in Khanh Hoa Province.

Ninh Van Commune is a peninsula commune, located in the far east of Ninh Hoa town, 36km northeast of the town center (according to Provincial Road 1B). Ninh Van has a natural area of ​​over 4,521ha, of which hills and mountains account for over 30%; agricultural land accounts for about 21.59%; mostly sandy soil; coastline length of over 25km. Population of over 2,100 people in 2 villages Dong and Tay. The commune has 3 sides bordering the sea, so the people here have advantages in fishing, agriculture and potential for developing tourism services.

In the commune, there are currently resorts such as Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, An Lam Retreats Ninh Van Bay; some tourist areas have been invested and exploited such as Coral Island Tourist Area, Blue Sea Tourist Area... Coming to Ninh Van, tourists will visit the historical site of the C235 ship memorial site (Ho Chi Minh trail at sea); visit coconut gardens, garlic fields; learn about fishing, seafood; experience being a fisherman; enjoy seafood...

The Agarwood craft village in Van Ninh district has been established for a long time. In 2016, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a decision to recognize the agarwood craft village in Phu Hoi 1 village, Van Thang commune, Van Ninh district as meeting the provincial craft village standards.

Van Thang Agarwood Cooperative was established and developed on the basis of the agarwood professional association established by the Farmers' Association in 2018. In 2019, Van Thang Agarwood Cooperative was officially established and put into operation with 7 members.

To develop the agarwood industry, Khanh Hoa province has provided funding of about 4 billion VND to build a showroom and a manufacturing house. Here, there are over 10 products made from agarwood, agarwood products have been recognized as meeting 3-star OCOP standards. Agarwood of Van Thang Agarwood Cooperative has been exported to many foreign markets such as China, Japan, India, the US and Southeast Asian countries.
