iOS 18 is considered the biggest update ever, bringing a series of upgrades and exciting new features for iPhone users.
After upgrading to iOS 18, iPhones can display more information even when the battery is dead. However, this new improvement seems to only appear on iPhone 15.

The iPhone has the ability to reserve a small amount of power for features like NFC or Find My even when the device is out of battery. In iOS 18, the iPhone manufacturer has continued to improve this feature.
Accordingly, testing on an iPhone 15 upgraded to iOS 18 shows that the device can continue to display the time in the upper left corner of the screen when the battery runs out. This is a small but quite useful upgrade.
Additionally, the iPhone 15 will also display “iPhone is Findable,” indicating that the device can be found using Find My while it still has battery life left.
However, it seems that the above improvements only appear on the iPhone 15 product line. MacRumors tested with some other devices such as the iPhone 14 Pro Max but did not record this new change.
It is still unclear what the cause of the above limitation is. It is also possible that the iOS 18 update is only a test version and is not fully compatible with older devices. Users need to wait for the official iOS 18 version to be able to confirm the above information.
The iOS 18 operating system was introduced by Apple at the WWDC 2024 event held in the early morning of June 11 (Vietnam time). iOS 18 brings a series of improvements in interface, features as well as adding AI tools.
