Member of the Politburo, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee, Head of the Training Course Steering Committee Truong Thi Mai attended and gave a speech.
Also attending were Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the Training Course.
The training and knowledge update class includes 54 students, starting from September 11.
Students will listen to and discuss 9 topics that comprehensively cover important issues related to the Party's leadership and direction, with long-term, strategic thinking associated with the country's development goals until 2030 and 2045.
Topics are delivered by reporters who are senior Party leaders and international experts.
On behalf of the Politburo and the Secretariat, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai stated that training and updating knowledge is a requirement in each term for each member of the Party Central Committee, who are cadres assigned by the Party to head Party committees and organizations at all levels, and are responsible to the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat in leading and directing, ensuring that the Party's guidelines, policies, regulations, and statutes are strictly, consistently, and effectively implemented in each agency, organization, and locality; contributing to maintaining and enhancing the Party's leadership role in the fields of socio-economics, national defense, security, foreign affairs, Party building, and the political system in line with the requirements and practices of each agency and locality, creating consensus and enhancing people's trust in the Party.
Emphasizing that the world and regional situation has rapid, complex and unpredictable developments, in order to contribute to strengthening the Party's leadership in the new situation, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai said that the Secretariat requires continuing to innovate the Training Program, updating knowledge for Party Central Committee members in a practical, effective and realistic direction, associated with building strategic thinking and vision; assigning the Central Organizing Committee and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to coordinate and prepare.

The Standing Secretariat emphasized that the training and knowledge update course is an opportunity to look back more deeply at the results of the past half-term and the responsibility of each member of the Party Central Committee for the assigned tasks.
“The process of national development and increasingly deep integration is requiring the Party's leadership and governing capacity. The Party must truly be a representative image of morality, intelligence and civilization. Therefore, each member of the Party Central Committee must raise awareness, responsibility, cultivate and train moral qualities, improve political mettle and working capacity, be ready to receive and complete assigned tasks, not waver or retreat in the face of difficulties and challenges, and make worthy contributions to the Party's revolutionary cause,” the Standing Secretariat noted and hoped that the Party Central Committee members would study seriously, actively exchange, discuss and contribute ideas at the Training Course.
Representing the trainees of the Training Course, Party Central Committee member, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh, Class President, expressed his gratitude to the Party and State leaders for their responsible attention and guidance to the Central Executive Committee members.
On behalf of the trainees of the Training Class, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh affirmed that he will promote the highest sense of responsibility, initiative, creativity, and participate in completing the set objectives of the class; strictly implement the class rules, regulations, and requirements of the Class Steering Committee.
