On January 16, Comrade Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, had a working session with Yen Mo district to listen to and grasp the overall situation, the construction of an advanced new rural district; the work of arranging commune-level administrative units of the district in the period of 2023 - 2025; a number of key tasks until the end of the 2020-2025 term and the recommendations and proposals of the district.
Also attending were comrades: To Van Tu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; Colonel Dang Trong Cuong, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; Nguyen Cao Son, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
Reporting on the results of work from the beginning of the 2020-2025 term to the end of 2023, and key tasks until the end of the term, the leaders of Yen Mo district said: Closely following the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, the attention, support and facilitation of the departments, agencies and branches of the province, the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Mo district have united, proactively overcome difficulties, promoted potentials and advantages, made efforts with high political determination to focus on leadership and direction of implementation, achieving comprehensive results in all areas: Party building and political system building have been focused on and achieved outstanding results.
The economy continues to develop well, industrial production - small-scale industry and services are maintained; developing organic agricultural products, applying high technology, ensuring food safety. The new rural construction movement has achieved positive results. Culture and society have made much progress, social security is ensured. Administrative reform has many positive changes. Political security, social order and safety are maintained; local military and defense work is strengthened.
Up to now, the district has completed and exceeded the plan of 7/11 targets set by the 18th District Party Congress; the remaining targets have approached the final year of the term. The district is also focusing on building a project for the district to meet advanced new rural standards by 2024 to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for comments. After reviewing, up to now, the district has achieved and basically achieved 6/9 criteria, while 3 criteria have not been achieved: Health - Culture - Education criteria; Economic criteria, Environmental criteria...
In the spirit of open and frank exchange, leaders of departments and branches spoke to clarify a number of recommendations and proposals of the district on specific mechanisms and policies to create resources to complete and improve the quality of criteria, striving to achieve the standards of an advanced NTM district in 2024; the construction, expansion and upgrading of traffic works and projects of the district to ensure connectivity to effectively exploit and promote the infrastructure and strengths of the district in tourism and industry; planning the Administrative Center Area associated with Yen Thinh urban area; support for Ta Uyen High School to reach level 1 standards, Yen Mo B High School to reach level 2 standards in 2024 and increase the staff for Yen Mo District Party Committee in 2024.
Delegates also suggested a number of solutions for the district to successfully carry out key tasks from now until the end of the term, including focusing on building and completing infrastructure for industrial zones, clusters and points to attract investment; developing organic agricultural products, applying high technology, high-tech agriculture; strengthening land and environmental management; developing types of tourism with typical products; innovating the way of organizing and promoting festivals in the area; preserving and promoting the value of traditional arts, including Xam singing, associated with tourism development...
Concluding the working session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and solidarity of the Standing Committee of Yen Mo District Party Committee in leading and directing the implementation of tasks of Party building, building the political system, building a united bloc, ensuring political security, social order and safety and the spirit of overcoming difficulties in building new rural areas of the district.
At the same time, it is proposed that after the working session, based on the comments of the delegates, Yen Mo district needs to re-evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the district, the advantages and difficulties, and need to clearly identify the objective and subjective causes of the difficulties and limitations. From there, evaluate the potentials, determine the comparative advantages to focus on exploiting endogenous resources for development, especially human resources, culture and the spirit of solidarity and cohesion.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: In building the overall development strategy, Yen Mo needs to continue to firmly grasp and well implement the motto "Party building is the key, socio-economic development is the center; cultural development is the spiritual foundation of society; ensuring national defense and security is essential and regular". In the immediate future, it is necessary to focus on will, determination and resources to perfect the connecting traffic system, overcoming the situation of "near home, far from the alley".
Transport connectivity must be considered a top priority breakthrough in economic development, promoting urbanization and reorganizing the district's development space. In addition, Yen Mo needs to pay attention to creating and attracting investment to exploit the potential of transport infrastructure and promote land capitalization - one of the breakthroughs to unlock resources.
Taking note of the recommendations and proposals of the district, the Provincial Party Secretary assigned departments, branches and specialized agencies to receive and advise on solutions. Noting the method of "starting up and innovating in agriculture and rural economy", the Provincial Party Secretary said that it is necessary to start from the responsibility and innovative thinking, creativity and dedication of each district leader to spread and promote the spirit of starting up and innovating among the people.
The Provincial Party Secretary believes that with the tradition of solidarity, the spirit of drastic action and innovation, Yen Mo will rise strongly, achieve more important results and achievements and become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
