Kane scores hat-trick in Bayern win

Striker Harry Kane contributed three goals and one assist as Bayern crushed Bochum 7-0 in round five of the Bundesliga.

Against the bottom team, the Bavarian Tigers did not miss the opportunity to show their strength. In the fourth minute, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting put them ahead after a quick transition. The Cameroon striker tapped the ball into an empty net after a through ball from Kingsley Coman to make up for his miss in the first minute.

Before they could recover from the early goal, Bochum conceded a second goal in nine minutes. This time, the visitors could complain about their bad luck when Alphonso Davies' seemingly harmless dribble accidentally found Harry Kane. The England striker made no mistake as he volleyed decisively into the near corner.

With a two-goal lead, Bayern played more and more well. After heading over the bar early in the match, centre-back Matthijs De Ligt showed how dangerous he was when he joined the attack. The Dutch international jumped high to head Joshua Kimmich's corner kick, widening the gap for the home team. Recently, there were rumors that De Ligt wanted to leave Bayern to get more playing time. Immediately, he was put in the starting lineup by Thomas Tuchel and scored.

The nightmare for Bochum did not end there. A defensive lapse led to another goal in the first half. This time, the scorer for Man City was Leroy Sane, a player completely forgotten by the visitors' defense.

Bayern scored their fifth shortly after the break. They were awarded a penalty after Ivan Ordets handled the ball. The visitors claimed that Ordets had not done so on purpose and that the ball had bounced off his foot before it hit his hand. However, the referee upheld the decision after consulting VAR. From the spot, Kane fooled goalkeeper Manuel Riemann to score his second.

In the remaining time, taking advantage of the opponent's high pressure, Bayern scored two more goals and kept a clean sheet. The sixth goal, scored by young striker Mathys Tel, came after a situation where the away team's player passed to Kane in front of the penalty area. Before the final whistle, Kane completed his hat-trick with a close-range tap-in.

This is Kane's first hat-trick since moving to Bayern, and also his fourth consecutive match. The 30-year-old striker has scored seven times in five Bundesliga rounds, ranking second in the race for the top scorer behind Serhou Guirassy (Stuttgart).

Bayern will play the first round of the German Cup at Preuben Munster next week before facing RB Leipzig.
