The Israeli army announced that its infantry had captured a Hamas stronghold in Gaza, attacking about 450 of the organization's targets.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said today that in a nighttime attack, Israeli soldiers captured a Hamas stronghold that included several observation posts, training grounds and tunnel systems, and killed a number of Hamas members.
According to the IDF, Israeli warplanes also struck more than 450 targets, targeting tunnels, military installations, observation posts and anti-tank rocket launchers of Hamas in Gaza. One airstrike killed Jamal Musa, a Hamas special operations officer.
Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, has not commented on the information.

The IDF has been blockaded and bombarding Gaza since October 7, after Hamas raided the south of the country causing heavy casualties. The ground offensive intensified on October 27, when Israel stepped up air strikes and sent troops and tanks into the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military announced on November 5 that it had completed "dividing Gaza in two" and completely surrounded Gaza City, the largest city in the northern part of the region. Israeli media reported that Israeli troops could enter Gaza City in the next 48 hours.
Meanwhile, Hamas accused Israel of carrying out heavy airstrikes around several hospitals in northern Gaza. Hamas' health ministry said today that more than 200 people were killed in IDF airstrikes overnight.
The fighting between Hamas and Israel has entered its 31st day as of November 6, killing more than 11,000 people and injuring more than 31,000 on both sides.
