The Israeli army launched several attacks on Hamas positions at night, killing a battalion commander and several members of the group.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on November 3 that fighter jets, armed helicopters, and artillery attacked under the guidance of the 933rd Nahal Infantry Brigade, and killed a number of Hamas members in the Gaza Strip overnight.

Mustafa Dalloul, commander of Hamas' Sabra-Tel al-Hawa battalion, was killed in an Israeli airstrike. According to the IDF, Dalloul "played a key role in commanding combat operations against the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip".

The Israeli air force and navy struck a number of Hamas positions, including anti-tank missile launchers and buildings used by the group's special forces.

Units of the Israeli 551st Brigade searched several locations in the city of Beit Hanoun, northeastern Gaza Strip, seizing numerous rifles, submachine guns, grenades, explosive devices, anti-tank guns, ammunition, as well as maps and communication equipment.

The IDF said soldiers from the Yahalom Special Engineering Unit, the 12th Negev and Nahal Infantry Brigades discovered several tunnel entrances in the northern Gaza Strip. "The soldiers placed explosives and neutralized them," the IDF said.

The Israel-Hamas war is about to enter its second month. Following Hamas's attack on October 7, Israel bombed and shelled the Gaza Strip, and deployed tanks and soldiers to attack the area.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), announced on November 2 that the country's infantry had completely surrounded Gaza City, the largest city in the Gaza Strip.
