Currently, the telephoto camera on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro lines has a focal length equivalent to 77mm. According to MacRumors , the periscope lens on the iPhone 16 Pro Max model will have a focal length of up to 300mm.
Most likely, this new upgrade will only appear on the highest-end iPhone 16 Pro Max. Meanwhile, the Pro version will still be equipped with a telephoto lens similar to its predecessors. This move by Apple is to create more differences between the Pro and Pro Max product lines.
Recently, analyst Ross Young from Display Supply Chain Consultants also said that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max duo will have their screen sizes increased to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively.
If the leaked information is correct, this will be the largest size ever on the iPhone product line. Currently, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max duo have screen sizes of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches respectively. This size is expected to be maintained on the iPhone 15 Pro generation.
Previously, a source from The Elec also said that the iPhone 16 Pro will be equipped with Face ID technology under the screen.
Accordingly, Apple is said to move Face ID directly under the iPhone's screen by 2024. When not in use, the TrueDepth camera system will become seamless compared to the surrounding screen area.
