(GLO)- On July 28, Ia Pa District Party Committee (Gia Lai province) held a mid-term review conference to implement the Resolution of the 18th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.
Attending and directing the conference were comrades: Truong Van Dat - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dang Ngoc Linh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Standing Committee's Internal Affairs Committee.
In the first half of the term of implementing the Resolution of the 18th Ia Pa District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee, with the attention and support of the provincial departments, branches, sectors and organizations, the Party Committee, the army and people of Ia Pa District have upheld the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, unity, proactiveness, creativity, promoting democracy, overcoming difficulties in organizing the implementation of 3 key tasks, 20 main targets and 6 groups of solutions proposed at the Congress. Up to now, the District Party Committee has achieved and exceeded 11/20 targets compared to the Resolution of the Congress, the remaining targets are on the implementation roadmap.

Accordingly, the economy continues to grow well; the average annual growth rate of production value (at 2010 comparative prices) reaches 11.38%/year (meeting the target set by the Resolution). The total production value (at current prices) as of May 31, 2023 reached 6,687.8 billion VND, reaching 83.1% of the Resolution target (estimated to reach 8,952.61 billion VND by 2025, reaching 111.2% of the Resolution target). The economic structure has shifted in a positive direction. State budget revenue in the area increased by an average of 17.74%/year (exceeding the Resolution target by 5.74%). Estimated per capita income by the end of 2023 is 44 million VND, an increase of 10 million VND/person compared to 2020, reaching 88% of the Resolution target (estimated by 2025 to reach 52.20 million VND/person, reaching 104.4% of the Resolution target).
Agriculture continues to develop steadily, up to now the district has converted more than 1,820 hectares of low-value crops to high-value crops; there are 3 OCOP products achieving 3 stars at the provincial level; the total livestock herd is 296,759 with over 6,000 households and 5 pig farms applying high technology with a scale of 4,800 to 20,000 pigs/year...
Party building work has been given attention, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members in association with building a strong, effective and efficient political system at the grassroots level. During the first half of the term, the Party Committee established 7 more village and hamlet Party cells with Party committees, bringing the total number of village and hamlet Party cells with Party committees to 51/51 village Party cells (meeting the Resolution target); admitted 210 outstanding people to the Party, the average annual admission rate reached 4.13% compared to the total number of Party members at the beginning of the term.
The quality and effectiveness of the People's Council's activities, the management, administration and implementation of tasks of the People's Committees at all levels have been improved. The activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, mass organizations have been close to the grassroots, practical and effective, contributing to the implementation of the district's political tasks. The fields of education, culture, arts, physical training and sports have developed; health, environment and social security have been given attention; local defense and military have been strengthened; political security and social order and safety have been ensured; administrative reform has achieved positive results; the work of receiving people, handling complaints and denunciations, and the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity have been given attention and maintained.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying some difficulties, proposing solutions on the work of developing party members, paying attention to the establishment of Ia Pa town, maintaining the criteria for building new rural areas in standard communes, implementing the construction of new rural villages and new rural communes according to the roadmap, focusing on sustainable agricultural development, building a civilized lifestyle, preventing child marriage, etc. to complete the goals set by the 18th District Party Congress.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Truong Van Dat - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and commended the outstanding results in the first half of the term of implementing the Resolution of the Ia Pa District Party Congress. In order to strive to complete and exceed the goals set by the 18th Congress, the Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to uphold the sense of responsibility, promote collective intelligence, solidarity, unity, leadership, and direction to strengthen the implementation of the 4th Central Resolution on the prevention and combat of corruption and negativity, promote the supervisory and critical role of mass organizations; People's Councils at all levels; it is necessary to assign specific tasks on the results of the indicators to each relevant agency and unit...
Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Minh Truong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Ia Pa District Party Committee - emphasized: In the coming time, it is necessary to continue to improve the leadership capacity, fighting strength of Party committees at all levels and the management and operation capacity of the government apparatus at all levels in the district; build a clean and strong political system; exploit the advantages and potentials of the district to develop the economy quickly, sustainably, synchronously with cultural and social development, improve the material and spiritual life of the people; preserve and promote the fine cultural identity of local ethnic minorities, build strong grassroots cultural institutions associated with the development of tourism in the district according to the roadmap, gradually forming practical tourism products.
Along with that, effectively implement Resolution No. 06-NQ/HU, dated April 29, 2022 of the District Party Committee on promoting agricultural development, applying science and technology to production, linking production - processing - consumption of agricultural products to effectively exploit the land potential of the district in the period of 2021 - 2025, gradually building a green agricultural sector, developing in depth in association with 3 national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Strengthen and consolidate national defense, maintain political security and stability, ensure social order and safety; promote the strength of great national unity; focus on building and improving the quality of cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity and prestige, equal to the task; enhance the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; Diversify forms of propaganda and mobilization and increase the rate of mass mobilization into organizations; determined to build Ia Pa district to develop comprehensively and sustainably.
