In the 2025 military recruitment campaign, the Tam Nong District Military Service Council was assigned 111 new recruits by the province. Up to now, the District Military Service Council has prepared enough young people to join the army in accordance with the law. Among them, there is 1 party member and many union members and young people who voluntarily applied to join the army to build and defend the Fatherland.
Lieutenant Colonel Bui Tan Thinh - Political Commissar of Tam Nong District Military Command, said: “Determining military recruitment as the first important task of the district's local military and defense work in 2025, the District Military Command has proactively advised the District Military Service Committee and Council. Up to this point, the coordination has been very close, preparations have been basically completed, ready for the military handover ceremony on February 13, 2025, ensuring solemnity and creating an exciting atmosphere for young men to join the army.”
Accompanying the Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union - Huynh Minh Thuc and Head of the Tam Nong District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Political Commissar of Tam Nong District Military Command visited the homes of party members, union members and youths preparing to perform military service. It was seen that most party members, union members and youths were excited and prepared their luggage for the day of departure to perform military service.
Party member Huynh Phong Phu (born in 2004) is the eldest child in a farming family in Hoa Binh commune. Despite his single-parent family, Phu still wrote a volunteer application and enthusiastically joined the army. Party member Huynh Phong Phu happily shared: "As a party member, I want to volunteer to be the first to contribute to the country, to participate in building and defending the Fatherland."
Mrs. Vo Thi Lang (Phu's mother) was very excited and agreed when Phu registered to go to perform military service. Mrs. Lang expressed: "The family is very happy, hoping that you will contribute a little effort to serve and help society."
Young man Duong Tan Dat (born in 2005) is an orphan and lives with his grandparents in Phu Thanh A commune. Dat's grandparents sell soft drinks at home. Tan Dat is still learning a trade, so life is still difficult, but Dat is very excited to prepare for his military service this time. Young man Duong Tan Dat said: "My wish is to serve in the army for a long time to protect the Fatherland and fulfill my duty as a young man."
Mr. Le Thanh Nha (70 years old, Dat's grandfather) expressed: "Being visited and encouraged by the Delegation before he leaves for military service is an honor for Dat himself, his family and the locality. Dat is very excited and promises to strive to fulfill his duty to the country."
Most parents and relatives of young men receiving the call to perform military service are very proud when their children and grandchildren enthusiastically prepare their luggage to join the army to build and protect the Fatherland, continuing the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army.
This year, the quality of the youth is superior to previous years; the educational level has improved and the health of the youth is basically good... At each place visited, the leaders of Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union and Tam Nong District kindly asked about the health and living conditions of the youth's families and gave gifts, encouraging the youth to feel secure and enthusiastic to go to defend the Fatherland...
Currently, communes and towns have prepared to organize camps, cultural exchanges, traditional activities and folk games which are very exciting and attractive on February 12, 2025; the district's sectors and unions have prepared all conditions to serve the Military Handover Festival on the morning of February 13, 2025. At the same time, many meaningful gifts are prepared to give to the new recruits before they leave for the army, following the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, building and defending the Fatherland.
