On the afternoon of December 12, the workshop "Implementing best practices to develop and operate important digital platforms for digital government" took place in Quang Ninh.
The workshop is part of the 2nd Vietnam International Digital Week organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province from December 12 to 15, 2023, aiming to share experiences in issues of policy making, development strategy, technology, human resources, while opening up new opportunities for countries in the region to strengthen cooperation, build a strong digital government and promote sustainable development.
According to experts, the key elements for building a digital government are now well-defined, including developing digital infrastructure, establishing digital organizations, and promoting innovation. The workshop also proposed initiatives such as strengthening cybersecurity, establishing a cooperation framework for information sharing and incident response, and facilitating cross-border cooperation.
Participating countries agreed on the importance of Digital Government in promoting digital development. Specific national strategies and support from multinational corporations were mentioned, laying the foundation for regional development and cooperation. Experts also emphasized the need for organized national data sharing to achieve socio-economic benefits and overcome regulatory barriers.
