With high determination, the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", continuously "3 shifts, 4 crews", after nearly 25 months of construction, up to now, the 1,200 billion VND cable-stayed bridge across Dao River in Nam Dinh has completed the installation of the bridge deck of all the approach spans, and continuous span closure.

The project to build a bridge across Dao River connecting Song Hao Street to Vu Huu Loi Street, Nam Dinh City was approved by the Provincial People's Council in Resolution No. 45/NQ-HDND dated October 25, 2021 and approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 619/QD-UBND dated March 28, 2022.
When completed, the project will contribute to perfecting the transport network of Nam Dinh city, increasing connectivity to southern districts, better meeting the needs of freight transport and travel of the people;

The project has a total investment of 1,200 billion VND, including the construction of a bridge across Dao River and an approach road with a total length of about 1.6km.
The project starts at the intersection of Tran Bich San Street and Song Hao Street, Nang Tinh Ward; the end point intersects with Vu Huu Loi Street - connecting with the southern axis road project of Nam Dinh City, from Vu Huu Loi Street to National Highway 21B in Nam Van Ward, Nam Dinh City.
The river crossing bridge is about 0.8km long with a cross-section of 20.5m; consisting of 16 spans, including 13 approach spans and 3 continuous girder spans. The main bridge section has the appearance of a cable-stayed bridge, using a continuous composite cable girder system made of prestressed reinforced concrete, including two reinforced concrete towers 31.5m high from the bridge deck, each side arranged with 9 cable-stayed cable bundles, the shape of the tower is designed to create an artistic appearance.
The approach bridge uses a prestressed reinforced concrete girder structure. The approach road at both ends of the bridge is about 0.8km long with a cross-section in accordance with the planning; in which, the intersection between Song Hao Street and Tran Bich San Street to Tien Phong Street is 26 to 28m wide, each side has a sidewalk from 3 to 5m wide, the road surface is 18m wide;

The intersection between Song Hao Street and Tien Phong Street to Tran Nhan Tong Street is 38.5m wide, with each side having a 3m wide sidewalk, the road surface on both sides of the bridge is 6m wide, the bridge is 20.5m wide; the section from Au Co Street to Vu Huu Loi Street is a two-lane road with a width of 34m, each side has a 5m wide sidewalk, each side has a 10.5m wide road surface and a 3m wide median strip;
From Vu Huu Loi Street to the end of the route, connecting with the southern axis road project, Nam Dinh City designed a two-lane road with a width of 46m, each side has a 10m wide sidewalk, each side has a 10.5m wide road surface and a 5m wide median strip.
