At the press conference, Ms. Kim Thanh Thao - Deputy Organizing Committee said that the contest "Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador 2023" was launched based on activities within the framework of the National Tourism Year 2023 in Binh Thuan with the theme "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence". With the mission of promoting tourism, cultural heritage, the country and people of Vietnam to develop the tourism economy of the country in general and Binh Thuan province in particular. Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador will introduce and promote the tangible and intangible cultural values, resources and unique tourism products of the country, requiring the winner to be one of the Vietnamese girls with physical beauty, virtue, and cultural level to promote economic development and stimulate tourism for Vietnam in general and Binh Thuan province in particular.
In particular, the new Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador will spend 2 years of her tenure to promote tourism culture in her home province, bringing the image of Vietnamese cultural identity, landscapes and wonders to friends around the world. The contest will go through 3 stages and be preliminarily selected in 6 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Thuan, Da Nang, Thai Nguyen and Tien Giang from July 2023 - September 30, 2023); Semi-finals (November 1, 2023 - November 10, 2023); Finals (December 1, 2023 - December 15, 2023).
The awards and titles of the contest include: Miss Vietnam Tourism Ambassador 2023 - Crown and 300,000,000 VND (Three hundred million VND); 1st Runner-up - 200,000,000 VND (Two hundred million VND); 2nd Runner-up - 150,000,000 VND (One hundred and fifty million VND). In parallel, there is the companionship of Miss Ly Kim Thao - Miss Vietnam Tourism Global 2021 as the ambassador to promote the contest.
Because of this meaningful message, the theme for contestants participating in community activities in the contest is called "Journey of a million green trees", with the purpose of promoting Vietnamese tourism culture through the journey of planting green trees, along with charitable and charitable deeds, promoting the image of Phu Quy island tourism. In particular, contestants will participate in the clip making contest introducing the image, hometown, and culture of the place where they live or work. The Organizing Committee will choose the contestant with the best and most meaningful clip to be specially entered into the top 10.
National Tourism Year 2023 - "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" has more than 200 events and activities. Of which, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ministries, departments and central branches organize 13 activities of national scale; Binh Thuan province presides over the organization of a series of 31 cultural, sports and tourism events and activities on an inter-provincial, national and international scale. Along with that are cultural, sports and tourism events and activities in response to National Tourism Year 2023 organized by 41 provinces and centrally-run cities. National Tourism Year 2023 is even more meaningful when it celebrates the 30th anniversary of a typical cultural and tourism event of national and international scale under the approval of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This is the largest annual event of the Vietnamese tourism industry, helping to attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists and investors. Therefore, the contest organizers pay great attention to the criteria for selecting ambassadors.
