1. The 2023 National Tourism Year had a positive impact on the socio -economic development of the province. For the first time, Binh Thuan was included in the list of 9 provinces and cities nationwide that achieved tourism revenue of 10,000 billion VND or more. Through tourism, a ripple effect was created, contributing to the development of other socio-economic sectors; opening up markets for goods and services, and promoting trade. Tourism development is not only linked to socio-economic development but also simultaneously introduces the image, people, and culture of Binh Thuan to a large number of domestic and international tourists.

Not being complacent or satisfied with the results achieved, Binh Thuan tourism is aiming for more specific goals that the province has previously identified. These include: strengthening the dissemination and implementation of tasks and solutions outlined in Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU, dated October 24, 2021, of the Provincial Party Committee (14th term) on tourism development until 2025, with a vision to 2030. Along with this are the following projects: Training, fostering, and developing human resources for tourism in Binh Thuan province from 2022 to 2025, with a vision to 2030; Managing, investing in, and exploiting tourist routes and destinations in Phan Thiet city (Phan Thiet City tour) from 2021 to 2025; Diversifying types and products of tourism in Binh Thuan province by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

2. Binh Thuan is also focusing on investing in and completing the physical and technical infrastructure of tourism; attracting strategic investors of significant scale to develop the Mui Ne National Tourist Area into an attractive destination, playing an important role in the tourism system of the South Central coastal region and the whole country. One of the things the province is aiming for is to restructure the tourism industry to ensure professionalism, modernity, and sustainable development. This includes continuing to review and update development orientations for tourism, trade, services, real estate, etc., based on proposals from strategic investors, forming large-scale projects that create highlights and a ripple effect, ensuring they are consistent with the province's actual situation to be implemented effectively and promote rapid and sustainable economic development. This is coupled with the development of diverse, high-quality tourism products based on the strengths of the sea and other tourism resources. The main tourism products and types fall into four main thematic groups: beach and leisure tourism; business combined with leisure; adventure and sports tourism; and health and wellness tourism. The overarching focus is on selecting Mui Ne National Tourist Area as the core to drive the development and growth of the tourism industry; and promoting the development of leisure tourism linked with MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
3. It is known that the province is currently directing efforts to resolve conflicts between tourism planning and other sectoral planning; focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles for large tourism projects, especially those in the southern area of Phan Thiet. The province is accelerating the construction progress and bringing tourism projects into operation; and resolutely revoking tourism projects that are slow to implement without justifiable reasons. It is also strengthening the promotion and advertising of Binh Thuan as a safe and attractive tourist destination, along with appropriate tourism stimulus programs to quickly restore the tourist market, especially the international tourist market. To attract both domestic and international tourists to Binh Thuan, the province is also considering innovating methods and improving the effectiveness of its tourism promotion and advertising activities. Another crucial factor contributing to attracting tourists is encouraging tourism businesses in the province to develop stimulus programs, promotions, and discounts. Simultaneously, we need to develop new tourism products and services and enhance professionalism in customer service to ensure quality, reputation, and brand recognition. Furthermore, human resources serving tourism development need to be trained professionally and systematically so that the province's "smokeless" industry can achieve breakthroughs in the coming years.
