Dien Bien TV - On the afternoon of February 6, under the chairmanship of comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee summarizing Resolution No. 18, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee met to give opinions on: Draft Project to arrange and streamline the organization of the political system of Dien Bien province.

According to the Draft Project on reorganizing and streamlining the political system of Dien Bien province: After reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus of Party agencies, unions, public service units at the provincial level and district level Party committees, 2 provincial-level committees will be reduced; 13 departments and equivalent will be reduced; 1 grassroots Party committee under the Provincial Party Committee will be increased.
For professional agencies under the Provincial People's Committee and units under professional agencies: It is expected that after the arrangement, there will be 14 agencies, a reduction of 5 agencies; a reduction from 117 to 83 departments under provincial departments and branches; a reduction from 10 branches and equivalents to 7 units. The number of public service units after the arrangement will be reduced by 27 focal points, to 70 units. It is expected that 2 public service units under the Provincial People's Committee will be newly established, namely: Dien Bien Phu University and the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion...
Regarding implementation progress: The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Board will be merged with the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Board to establish the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Board from March 1, 2025; the activities of provincial-level Party delegations and Party executive committees will end; the activities of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises will end to establish the Party Committee of Party agencies and the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee from March 1, 2025; the completion of the personnel positions of Party committees, Party committee standing committees, Party committee inspection committees and the arrangement of cadres and civil servants of relevant agencies will be carried out after the establishment of 2 new Party committees; at the same time, the arrangement of agencies under the government will be carried out immediately after the policy of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee is issued...
The delegates attending the conference basically agreed with the arrangement and streamlining plans according to the Draft Project; at the same time, focused on discussing: Plans for arranging personnel and headquarters at agencies and units implementing the merger; research and implementation according to the agreed plans, to ensure the organization of party congresses at all levels. Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Quoc Cuong highly appreciated the frank and responsible opinions of the delegates. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee - the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for the implementation of Resolution 18 at the provincial level to fully absorb and synthesize the opinions of the delegates at the Conference.
