The Admissions and Career Guidance Day in Ho Chi Minh City took place at the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), the General Department of Vocational Education ( Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs ), with the support of VinGroup Corporation.
Leaders of the Department of HigherEducation directly consult
The main stage area of the festival will be where experienced admissions consultants will answer all questions for parents and candidates.
The experts will include leaders from the Department of Higher Education, the Department of Schools ( Ministry of National Defense ) and teachers with many years of experience in admissions at major universities such as the University of Technology, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, Ho Chi Minh City University of Finance - Marketing, etc.
Here, leaders of the Department of Higher Education will directly provide the latest information on regulations and enrollment timelines in 2024, as well as send candidates important tips when taking the high school graduation exam.
Experts from universities will answer each student's questions about career orientation, choosing a major, choosing a school, and many other "vital" notes when applying for admission.
Dr. Pham Tan Ha, Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City), said that 2024 is the last year that the high school graduation exam will take place according to the old general education program. From 2025, the exam will have many adjustments according to the 2018 general education program and university admissions are also expected to have some changes.
Therefore, in recent admissions consulting programs in many provinces and cities, Mr. Ha and admissions consultants often encounter concerns from students about what will happen if they are unfortunately not admitted to their desired university this year, what are the chances of retaking the high school graduation exam next year, and what are the differences in admission regulations between 2024 and 2025...
The above questions will be thoroughly answered by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training and teachers from universities at the upcoming Admissions and Career Counseling Day in Ho Chi Minh City. A motto of the advisory board throughout the programs is "as long as candidates still have questions, teachers will continue to advise".

More than 200 consulting booths
Next to the main stage area will be the excitement from the consulting booths of many educational institutions. The 2024 Admissions and Career Counseling Festival recorded a record number of consulting booths in recent years: more than 200 booths from about 100 famous educational institutions across the country.
Most of the major universities in Ho Chi Minh City are present at this event. Up to now, more than 100 schools have announced their regular university admission plans and expected enrollment information for 2024. The fair will be a place for candidates to visit each consulting booth at the schools they are aiming for to find out the latest information such as admission quotas, criteria, tuition fees, scholarships and other regulations.
Next to the universities are hundreds of consulting booths of colleges, vocational training centers, study abroad consulting centers, foreign language centers, etc. International educational institutions from Japan, Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries will also have representatives present at the festival to meet Vietnamese students. Candidates will be opened many learning opportunities besides the "traditional" path of applying to domestic universities.
In addition, each university consulting booth also offers many attractive activities, including technology experiences, cultural exchanges, games, etc. These activities not only bring a joyful atmosphere to the festival, but also help students participating in the program have the most realistic and clear view of the educational path and career they want to pursue.
