The 2024 high school graduation exam will be organized basically stable as in the 2020-2023 period. The Ministry of Education and Training will provide general instructions, and the provinces/cities directly under the Central Government will preside over all exam organization work in the locality.
Accordingly, the Examination Councils will organize the examinations on June 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2024, mark the examinations from June 29, 2024, announce the examination results at 8:00 a.m. on July 17, 2024, and consider recognizing high school graduation on July 19, 2024.
Regarding the exam regulations, the Ministry of Education and Training only allows candidates to bring into the exam room: pens, rulers, pencils, erasers, set squares, graphing rulers, drawing tools, handheld calculators without text editing functions and no memory cards; Vietnam Geography Atlas compiled according to the 2006 General Education Program (without markings or writing any other content).
The 2024 high school graduation exam is also the first time that the Ministry of Education and Training has included in the exam regulations a list of items "prohibited from being brought into the exam room", including: carbon paper, erasers, alcoholic beverages, weapons and explosives, flammable substances, documents, communication equipment (receiving, broadcasting information, recording audio, video) or containing information to cheat during the exam.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, in any case of violation of regulations, candidates will be suspended from the exam. Candidates who are suspended from any exam will receive a score of 0 for that exam and will not be allowed to continue taking the next exams. This means that candidates will not be eligible to be recognized as high school graduates and will no longer have the opportunity to participate in the university entrance exam this year.
