Certificates exempted from foreign language exam in high school graduation recognition

NDO - Candidates with one of the foreign language certificates on the list prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training can use it to be exempted from the foreign language exam in the recognition of high school graduation in 2025.

In the Regulations on high school graduation exams recently issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, applicable from 2025, the list of foreign language certificates exempted from foreign language exams in the recognition of high school graduation is stipulated as follows: English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese.

According to regulations, people with one of the foreign language certificates in the list below or foreign language certificates recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as equivalent to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam (level 3 or higher and valid until the date of exam registration) are exempted from the foreign language exam in the recognition of high school graduation in 2025.

Candidates should note that a new point compared to the regulations of previous years is that although foreign language certificates are still used to exempt exams in graduation recognition consideration, they cannot be converted into 10 points in graduation recognition consideration as before; the graduation score calculation formula does not include foreign language points in this case.

Those who are eligible for exemption from the Foreign Language exam but still want to take the Foreign Language exam in the graduation exam must use the Foreign Language exam results to calculate the high school graduation score.

The 2025 high school graduation exam is the first exam under the 2018 General Education Program, scheduled to take place from June 26 to 27.
