(Dan sinh) - On July 27 at the My Tho City Cultural House (Tien Giang), the My Tho City Blind Association in collaboration with the Norwegian - Swedish Tu Tam Charity Association organized a program to give gifts to blind people in difficult circumstances.

At the program, 100 poor blind people who are members of the My Tho City Blind Association received gifts this time. Each gift includes: 20 kg of rice, 1 box of instant noodles and necessities (soy sauce, sugar, MSG, cooking oil) 50 thousand in cash... Worth 370 thousand VND/gift.

The total cost of the program is 37 million VND, funded by the My Tho City Blind Association and the Norwegian - Swedish Tu Tam Charity Association.

In addition to giving gifts, members of the Charity Association also visited the blind and gave extra money for motorbike taxis to people living far away.

Ms. Tran Thi Cam Hue, 70 years old, in Thoi Thuan hamlet, Thoi Son commune, emotionally said: she was very happy to receive the gift. With this gift, she can save enough to eat for a few weeks. Knowing that her family was alone and had to take a motorbike taxi to receive the gift, a member of the Association sent her extra money for the ride, which made her very touched.

These meaningful gifts are the motivation to help the visually impaired overcome difficulties in life.
