Banking Academy expected to achieve international accreditation by 2030

(Dan Tri) - "In its development strategy, the Banking Academy aims to achieve international accreditation by 2030. This is a strong and correct direction in the context of integration."

The above is the sharing of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam at the ceremony to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, organized by the Banking Academy this morning (September 18).

The Governor of the State Bank highly appreciated the school's orientation and goals of developing high-quality human resources.

Thanks to perseverance with that orientation, the Academy's teaching staff has increased dramatically in quantity and quality, exceeding the national standard by 2 times. According to the Governor, this is the fundamental, solid foundation and the decisive factor that has brought the school to where it is today.

In the field of training, the school has expanded its majors. This is an essential requirement to become a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary university with 35 undergraduate programs and 11 graduate programs.

Quality control work is also of great concern with 100% of training programs meeting national standards.

"Along with that, in the development strategy, the school also sets the goal of achieving international accreditation by 2030. This is a strong and correct direction for a higher education institution in the context of integration.

I appreciate the school's initiative and efforts over the years to establish cooperative relationships with international universities, to exchange lecturers and students in accordance with the school's conditions and the world's educational trends.

Through international cooperation, the school has innovated its goals, innovated its faculty development program, improved its quality, and gradually integrated," said the Governor.

Along with the requirement for strong changes in the coming time, the Governor of the Bank set 9 key tasks for the school.

Firstly , continue to implement and organize resolutions on education and training work, proactively research and effectively implement the goals, tasks and solutions set out to develop the Vietnamese banking industry by 2025 with a vision to 2030 in the field of human resource development.

Second , the school will soon develop and submit for approval the School Council project for the 2025-2030 term in a streamlined and modern direction.

Third , always identify the quality of lecturers as playing a key role in the training process. The school needs to focus on training a team of lecturers to ensure sufficient quantity, high professional qualifications, modern teaching methods, combining scientific research with teaching.

Fourth, continue to promote quality inspection according to international standards to affirm the prestigious position of HVNH not only domestically but also regionally and internationally.

Fifth, scientific research work needs to continue to closely follow the strategic orientation of science and technology development of the country, industry and the needs of society.

Sixth , continue to promote digital transformation in higher education.

Seventh, continue to strengthen and expand international cooperation with prestigious universities around the world to train high-quality human resources.

Eighth, there are solutions to increase reasonable and legal revenue sources to gradually achieve full financial autonomy according to the autonomy mechanism approved by the State Bank.

Besides, the school needs to increase income for staff and workers, especially lecturers, scientists and managers.

Nine , focus on student work and youth work to create conditions for students to not only be solid in their expertise, have independent thinking, but also have cultural and ethical character.

At the celebration, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Huu Toan, Chairman of the Banking Academy Council, shared that November 20 is a special occasion to show gratitude to generations of teachers who have devoted their efforts to the cause of education.

You are an inspiration and motivation for teachers. We are very happy to see you passionate about learning, practicing, developing skills, and making real progress every day.

To give you a better environment, teachers are wholeheartedly devoted to their work, aiming for a standard, humane environment. I hope you understand that and cherish all the knowledge and humane values ​​that teachers have given you," Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huu Toan said.

Banking Academy is a 100% financially autonomous educational institution. In 2022, there were approximately 20,000 applications; in 2023, there were approximately 38,000 applications and this school year, there were more than 69,000 applications to the academy.
