After the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, production and business activities of enterprises in industrial parks (IPs) in Binh Thuan have returned to stability.
On average, the Lunar New Year holiday of enterprises in industrial parks in Binh Thuan lasts 10-12 days, starting from January 25 to February 7, 2025. On this occasion, many enterprises also combine annual leave arrangements to create conditions for workers to have enough time to return to their hometowns to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet with their families... After Tet until February 7, 2025 (the 10th day of the Lunar New Year), in industrial parks in Binh Thuan, more than 95% of the total of more than 10,000 workers have returned to work.
According to the Management Board of Binh Thuan Industrial Parks, although the production and business situation is still difficult, during the recent Lunar New Year, enterprises have shown their concern and care for their workers. Such as fully paying salaries and bonuses with an average of 1 month's salary or more (about 7.2 million VND/person), 7-8% higher than last year's Lunar New Year. Among them, many enterprises give Tet bonuses to workers and employees higher than the average level of 10 million VND/person or more. In particular, there is an FDI enterprise that gives the highest Tet bonus to foreign experts working in the Industrial Park at 120 million VND/person. Meanwhile, domestic enterprises in Binh Thuan Industrial Parks also announced the highest Lunar New Year bonus of 45 million VND/person...
In addition to the Lunar New Year bonus, many workers in the industrial park with difficult circumstances are also supported and given gifts by the Provincial Labor Federation and trade unions at all levels on this occasion. This is truly a source of spiritual encouragement, motivating workers to return to work immediately after the Lunar New Year, thereby becoming more attached and accompanying businesses in their determination to exceed the targets and plans set for 2025... It is known that with 2 new businesses coming into operation, by the end of last year in Binh Thuan industrial parks, there were 65/89 valid investment registration projects officially participating in production and business (including 21 foreign-invested projects and 44 domestic-invested projects).
In fact, the performance of secondary enterprises in industrial parks is quite stable, especially in some key industries such as: Footwear, garment, handbags, cashew nuts, seafood, food, wood, mechanics, minerals, trade and service industries (gas, beer, soft drinks, auto trading and repair...). At the end of 2024, Binh Thuan Industrial Park Management Board recorded that all basic targets were implemented and achieved results with a fairly high increase compared to the previous year. Specifically, revenue reached 9,450 billion VND (up 8.6%), contributing about 250 million USD to the local export turnover (up 59%), budget contribution reached 255 billion VND (up 59.3%)...
Entering the new year, the production and business situation in Binh Thuan Industrial Parks is also expected to improve as businesses sign orders and continue to maintain stable operations. Right in the first month of 2025, the production and business results of businesses here have shown positive signs such as estimated revenue of VND 850 billion (up 8.5% over the same period last year), export turnover of about 22 million USD (up nearly 11%) and budget contribution of VND 18 billion (up 20%). And with activities after Tet At Ty - that is, from the beginning of February 2025, returning to normal, most businesses here are striving to create regular jobs for workers, bringing production and business to gradually develop sustainably.
For the Management Board of Binh Thuan Industrial Parks, it will continue to urge to accelerate the progress of investment in completing the infrastructure of the industrial park, thereby meeting the best conditions for businesses to operate effectively. At the same time, it will strengthen periodic dialogues with businesses to grasp, resolve or recommend the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments and localities to advise on timely consideration and resolution of difficulties and problems to help secondary projects soon enter production and business activities. Along with that, it will also promote trade promotion activities, expand consumer markets and support businesses to improve their competitiveness to contribute to achieving the targets set this year...
