Singer Hoa Mi shared that after a year of settling in Paris, France, she met her teacher, the late musician Hoang Thi Tho. At that time, the musician came to Paris to promote his music in collaboration with musician Lam Phuong.
"I was so happy to meet him, not thinking that I would have the chance to meet him again. Uncle Tho also did not expect to meet his student. He gave me a music book with the inscription "For Hoa Mi, after 17 years I get to meet my nightingale again". I felt so sad, I read it and wanted to cry" - singer Hoa Mi said.
Singer Hoa Mi is 68 years old.
The late musician Hoang Thi Tho advised Hoa Mi to sing again. She said that in Paris there were not many opportunities to sing, so the musician took her to the US to do the live show "Dem Hoa Mi". He organized it and invited famous singers to sing with her.
"He introduced "The Nightingale Has Returned to the Sky of Music" and said I was his beloved student whom he had met after many years apart. It was extremely touching to see him again after exactly 17 years" - singer Hoa Mi said.
She said that after meeting the late musician, the intention to return to music was kindled in her. However, it was just an intention, not enough to ignite a strong flame for her to be determined. Until one day, while baking bread, she received a phone call from singer Bach Yen.
She still retains her looks and voice.

Bach Yen said that the program "Sol Vang" in Vietnam, which honors veteran singers, was looking for Hoa Mi. After the call, she was stunned and wondered why she, a singer, would do another job. She regretted that she was loved by the audience but had wasted a long time.
"Ms. Bach Yen told me a memorable sentence: "Do you dare to sing?" because at that time I had stopped singing for a long time. I did not hesitate and immediately said "I dare". I am a brave person, I will try to do anything, so I was determined "I will try", "I will succeed" - Hoa Mi recounted.
In addition to sharing about her return to the music industry, Hoa Mi also revealed a lot about herself such as being a good cook, baguette is her best-selling bread... The program "Evening Stories with Stars" will be broadcast at 9:50 p.m. on June 21 on THVL1 channel.
After living abroad, in 2009, Hoa Mi returned to Vietnam for three months to record three albums at once. In 2015, she returned to Vietnam to participate in the live show "Sol Vang" with the theme "Return to the old roof" at Hoa Binh Theater, live on HTV9. Later, she participated in "Sol Vang" in other years and also appeared in TV shows: "Perfect transformation" (2016), "After the halo" (2017), "Happy memories" (2019), "Sweet memories" (2020), "Mysterious singer" (2020).
