On November 22, the AVP website reported that the Russian army continued its fierce offensive operations in the Avdeevsky direction. It is known that thanks to the successful operations of artillery and assault units, the Russian Armed Forces were able to advance northwest of Avdeevka, leveling the front line in the Novokalinovo area.
Fierce fighting has been taking place in Avdeevka. Currently, the Russian army has the advantage on this front.
The next Russian offensive could cover the area from Novobakhmutovka to the Ocheretinsky railway junction. The deployment of the front line northwest of Avdievka means that Ukrainian forces are moving further west, reducing the ability to move troops and equipment to Avdievka and reducing the intensity of shelling of Donetsk.
This step also allows the Russian army to control the firepower at the Ocheretinsky transport hub. This transport hub is actively used by Ukraine to move personnel, military equipment, weapons and ammunition to this and other directions of the front in the Donetsk People's Republic (self-proclaimed). Therefore, the offensive actions of the Russian army in the Avdeevsky direction are of strategic importance.
The advantage in firepower helped the Russian army destroy many weapons and stop attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier, the Russian army and the Ukrainian Armed Forces also engaged in fierce fighting near Rabotino. On this front, the Russian army successfully repelled several attacks by the Ukrainian forces. According to reports, in the morning, taking advantage of the fog, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to launch an attack in the direction of Novoprokopovka, armored fighting vehicles and infantry reached the village.
During the clashes, soldiers of the Southern Military District (Russia) shot down two enemy armored vehicles with anti-tank guided missiles. The remaining armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were forced to retreat under heavy fire from the Russian troops.
During the retreat, the Ukrainian landing forces faced fierce Russian attacks in the forest belts and trenches.
