(Fatherland) - The working group of the Library Department - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated to donate more than 600 books to Lam Dong Provincial Police, serving the development of reading culture and library work at the unit.

At the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang summarized the achievements in library work and implemented activities to develop reading culture at Lam Dong Provincial Police. Currently, the Lam Dong Provincial Police Library has been invested in, renovated and operated more effectively over the past year, opening every Tuesday and Thursday to serve officers and soldiers in researching and exploiting information. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang summarized the achievements in library work and implemented activities to develop reading culture at Lam Dong Provincial Police.

In addition to 250 books with nearly 6,000 volumes distributed by the Public Security Publishing House in the past 5 years, the Provincial Public Security Library has also invested in purchasing more books to serve the cultural and spiritual enjoyment needs of officers and soldiers and internal propaganda work with many different genres. The Public Security units and localities also equipped 182 legal bookcases (of which 38 bookcases belong to grassroots units), regularly updated and provided documents for the legal bookcases to better serve the needs of officers and soldiers to exploit and access information.

In addition to the achieved results, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang said that the work of developing reading culture among officers and soldiers of Lam Dong Provincial Police has not really achieved high efficiency due to many shortcomings. However, he affirmed that Lam Dong Provincial Police will continue to regularly and continuously implement coordination programs and action plans to build and develop reading culture in the Provincial Police force.

At the same time, she affirmed that with the activities launched and implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, including the "Reading Culture Ambassador" contest, Lam Dong Provincial Police is a participating unit and has many entries, thereby demonstrating the spirit and reading movement that is increasingly being raised.
