On October 16 and 17, the Da Nang Red Cross Society and sponsors surveyed and donated funds to support house construction for 15 poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households affected by storm No. 3 in Kim Thuong commune, Tan Son district and Trung Son commune, Yen Lap district.
The leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society received a symbolic plaque of funding to support the construction of houses for 15 poor and near-poor households affected by storm No. 3, presented by representatives of sponsoring units.
In Kim Thuong commune, Tan Son district, the delegation surveyed and supported the construction of 13 houses, including 5 poor households with many members (support of 80 million VND/household); 1 poor single-parent household and 7 near-poor households (support of 60 million VND/household). In Trung Son commune, Yen Lap district, the delegation surveyed and supported the construction of 2 houses for 2 near-poor households affected by storm No. 3 (support of 60 million VND/household). The total cost of supporting the construction of 15 houses is equivalent to 1 billion VND, sponsored by the Da Nang Red Cross Society from sponsors and benefactors.
The Provincial Red Cross Society and Tan Son and Yen Lap districts organized representatives of sponsoring units and leaders of the Da Nang City Red Cross Society to survey each household, coordinating with the People's Committees of communes to arrange for organizations to receive support funds in accordance with regulations.
This is a noble act, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and working together for the community. Through supporting the construction of houses, it helps families have more motivation to rise up, actively work, produce, and escape poverty sustainably.
