These are mainly stocks that are under warning or control such as BLF, CTC, CTX, DS3, MAS, KDM, LDP, SSM, APS, SD6,... Stocks MHL, MIM, TVC, DXM, TTZ that are under restricted trading on HNX cannot be traded on margin.
In addition, the negative after-tax profit for the first 6 months of 2023 of the parent company's shareholders and undistributed after-tax profit in the 2023 audited semi-annual consolidated financial statements also caused dozens of stocks to have their margins cut, such as API, EVS, NRC, PVB, DDG, THB, BTS, LDP, SPI, PEN, HEV, GMA, VNF, TJC, VE1, VE3, VE4, ...
Besides, the listing time of less than 6 months is also one of the reasons why stocks are included in the margin cut list for the fourth quarter such as 3 stocks DTG, PPT, VFS.
Some stocks had their margin cut by HNX in the fourth quarter.
The listing organization's delay in disclosing the 2023 audited semi-annual financial report more than 5 working days from the deadline for information disclosure such as LCD, PGT, SDA, SRA, VC2; or the listed company receiving the conclusion of the tax authority on the company's violation of tax laws such as VNT, TTZ also causes the stock to be put on the list of stocks ineligible for margin trading.
According to regulations, investors will not be allowed to use the credit limit (financial leverage - margin) provided by the brokerage securities company to buy 94 stocks that are classified as securities not eligible for margin trading.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) also announced a list of 86 stocks that are not eligible for margin trading in the fourth quarter of 2023, with many familiar stocks such as NVL, FRT, HBC, HSG, HPX, SMC, HAG, IBC, POM, ITA,... Thus, the list of stocks with margin cut on the two stock exchanges in the first quarter of the fourth quarter includes 180 stocks .
