Coach Park Hang Seo wrote: "As we enter the new year, I would like to send my best wishes to the Vietnamese players and football officials. I wish everyone a new year full of success, happiness, and good health!"

The Lunar New Year of 2025 marks the second anniversary of Park Hang Seo's contract ending, concluding his five-year tenure as head coach of the Vietnamese national team, a period filled with success. The South Korean coach will remain in Vietnam to work in football in other roles and capacities besides coaching.

Park Hang Seo is an advisor to a team in the Second Division and is also involved in opening a community football academy. There are rumors that the former head coach of the Vietnamese national team is attracting interest from several other teams in Southeast Asia.
Most recently, the South Korean coach was named on the list of candidates for the head coach position of Malaysia. However, to date, Park Hang Seo has not yet returned to coaching.
The 67-year-old expert still follows Vietnamese football regularly. The coach personally attended several matches of the Vietnamese national team at the AFF Cup 2024, including the first leg of the final at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ).
During Vietnam's journey to winning the 2024 AFF Cup, Park Hang Seo played a special "advisory" role behind the scenes for coach Kim Sang-sik. Kim – a former student of Park Hang Seo – admitted that his former mentor gave him crucial advice that helped him achieve rapid success within just eight months of leading the Vietnamese national team.
