"Happy New Year to all Vietnamese people!" , Mr. Park Hang Seo shared via his personal Facebook account on the evening of January 28 (29th of Lunar New Year). The former head coach of the Vietnamese team especially sent New Year wishes to the players and football officials.
Mr. Park Hang Seo wrote: "As the new year begins, I would like to send my best wishes to the Vietnamese players and football officials. Wishing everyone a new year filled with success, happiness and health!
To my beloved students, I am very proud of your efforts and dedication. Let us continue to strive for success in this new year."
The Lunar New Year 2025 marks exactly 2 years since Mr. Park Hang Seo ended his contract, ending 5 years as head coach of the Vietnam national team with many successes. The Korean military commander still stays in Vietnam to work in football in other roles and jobs besides coaching.

Mr. Park Hang Seo is an advisor to a football team in the Second Division, and also cooperates to open a community football academy. There are many rumors that the former head coach of the Vietnam national team is interested in some other football teams in the Southeast Asian region.
Most recently, the Korean coach was on the list of candidates for the position of head coach of Malaysia. However, up to this point, Mr. Park Hang Seo has not returned to coaching work.
The 67-year-old expert still follows Vietnamese football regularly. This coach directly went to the stadium to watch some matches of the Vietnamese team at the AFF Cup 2024, including the first leg of the final at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho).
In the journey to win the AFF Cup 2024 of the Vietnamese team, Mr. Park Hang Seo played a special "advisor" role behind the scenes for coach Kim Sang-sik. Mr. Kim - a former student of coach Park Hang Seo - admitted that it was his former teacher who gave him important advice that helped him achieve rapid success after only 8 months of leading the Vietnamese team.
