Coach Gong Oh Kyun shows great ambition on the debut day of Hanoi Police Club

After the 2023 V-League season ends, Hanoi Police Club aims to conquer new heights of Vietnamese football in the near future.

Besides successfully recruiting quality new players like Bui Hoang Viet Anh or Geovane Magno, the Police team is also looking for a coach who shares the same aspiration to conquer the top in both domestic and continental competitions.

"I would like to thank everyone for creating the conditions for me to lead the Hanoi Police Club. I hope that the Hanoi Police Club will not only develop in the domestic arena but also aim for the AFC playground, so that the whole of Asia will know the name of the team.

I used to lead U23 Vietnam, and now a team in V-League. In any position, I always try my best," coach Gong Oh Kyun shared.

"I want to build a beautiful attacking style of play for Hanoi Police Club, turning Hanoi Police Club into the top football team in Vietnam and the continent.

My immediate goal is to help the team successfully defend the championship in V-League 2023/24, and further help this team reach the continental arena, gradually helping them become better and better in the future," the Korean strategist emphasized.

Coach Gong Oh Kyun was the head coach of the Vietnam U23 team at the 2022 AFC U23 Championship, reaching the quarterfinals. Having breathed new life into the playing style of the Vietnam U23 team, the Korean strategist quickly made an impression on fans.

The Korean strategist returned to Vietnam with the goal of challenging himself by sitting in the hot seat of a professional club for the first time.

With the development of V-League in recent years, Mr. Gong Oh Kyun wants to have the opportunity to better understand the highest level of Vietnamese football and assert himself.

In addition, choosing Hanoi Police Club, one of the most ambitious teams in Vietnamese football, is also a decision that fits the direction and upcoming goals of the Korean coach.

Coach Gong Oh Kyun will officially make his debut on November 25, when Hanoi Police Club meets HA Gia Lai in the 2023-24 National Cup.
