Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad awarded 21 Great Solidarity houses

21 Great Solidarity houses were awarded with a value of 1.05 billion VND.

Presenting the symbolic plaque of 21 great solidarity houses to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Peter Hong - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad said that the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad is very aware of its responsibility to connect the spirit of solidarity of its members. Recently, at the Association's Congress for the 2023-2028 term, 43 members were elected to the Executive Committee, gathering from 40 countries - exemplary overseas Vietnamese, representing the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad, who have made many positive contributions to their homeland over the past time.

On this occasion, Mr. Peter Hong proposed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee study and coordinate with relevant ministries, branches and the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad to summarize the implementation of Project 1797/CP on "Mobilizing Vietnamese people abroad to participate in introducing, consuming products and developing distribution channels for Vietnamese goods abroad, period 2020-2024" and propose solutions to continue implementation in the coming time.

On behalf of the Party Delegation and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, receiving the donation, Chairman Do Van Chien expressed his excitement at the noble gesture of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad, who joined hands to contribute resources to build houses for the poor in Dien Bien province and the Northwestern provinces; congratulated the achievements of the Association's Congress for the 2023-2028 term. The success of the Congress is the convergence and joint efforts of the children of Lac Hong blood, together towards contributing to the Fatherland.

Introducing the book "Promoting the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, civilized and happy" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Chairman Do Van Chien said that in the book, the General Secretary also mentioned and highly appreciated the role of Vietnamese people abroad.

Thanking the support of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that, towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired the launching ceremony to support the construction of Great Solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province and the Northwestern provinces. With the support of kind hearts and the efforts of families in difficult circumstances in Dien Bien province, up to now, 5,000 Great Solidarity houses have been completed, bringing solid and spacious homes to the poor.

"From the success of the program, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will coordinate with relevant agencies to launch a program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide," Mr. Do Van Chien informed.

According to the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, the cooperation of organizations, individuals and philanthropists across the country is needed. The 21 houses from the mobilization and donations of the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Abroad will bring joy, help the poor settle down and create a strong spread of the spirit of mutual love, sharing and helping each other in society.
