This year's 4/30-5/1 holiday lasts 5 days with hundreds of festivals taking place across the country. In the context of millions of subscribers traveling between localities, network operators have prepared many plans to stabilize telecommunications network infrastructure throughout the holiday.

Talking to VietNamNet , Viettel representative said that it is expected that there will be about 3.7 million Viettel subscribers traveling nationwide during this holiday. Viettel Networks has proactively proposed nearly 2,000 solutions and arranged 400 online/offline personnel to monitor events and festivals to maintain a smooth network and quickly handle any problems that arise.

Viettel's network monitoring and management software integrates AI and Big Data such as NPMS, GEO, XO, etc., which can respond twice as much as usual, optimize coverage for devices and limit network system overload ,” said a Viettel representative.

All Viettel Stores, Viettel Post branches and nearly 700 Viettel Telecom stores nationwide will operate throughout the holiday to meet all people's needs.

According to VNPT , to ensure service quality during the holiday, the unit has reviewed the entire system and is ready to expand and increase capacity to serve the migration of subscribers from major cities.

This network has reviewed and worked with localities to forecast the locations of festivals and major events, from which it has plans to add field broadcasting stations and mobile broadcasting vehicles in crowded places.

VNPT has deployed more than 200 solutions to supplement resources, ready to meet 150% of sudden traffic surge. This unit also coordinates with major content providers and CDN providers to increase connection capacity by 10-20%.

On-call plans and reserve material transfers have also been prepared by VNPT in advance to be ready to respond to situations that arise before, during and after the holidays.

As for MobiFone , this unit said that it owns nearly 80,000 3G/4G stations covering 100% of the population, ensuring the ability to prevent unusual network congestion in key areas and areas with high data traffic. Since 2023, MobiFone has optimized and automated network operations using machine learning and artificial intelligence technology.

In key areas where festivals take place and where crowds gather, MobiFone has conducted surveys, measurements, and assessed the quality of coverage, installed additional mobile broadcasting stations, increased coverage, and expanded resources for 4G stations.

The network equipment has also been tested to ensure high redundancy to avoid network failures. MobiFone's network capacity and domestic and international transmission routes are also ready for increased demand compared to normal days. During the holidays, MobiFone said it has arranged enough staff to handle and support customers.

According to a representative of Vietnamobile, to maintain service quality, the company will freeze (keep the status quo) the network during the holiday, not allowing network impacts to minimize the risk of service disruption, except in cases where it is required to respond to emergency situations.

In addition to preparing scenarios and arranging 24/7 shifts, Vietnamobile has increased its human resources with foreign experts to support monitoring and information on-call.

Survey results on service quality and customer care of telecommunications and cloud computing businesses as assessed by users show that many businesses have good service quality.
