Hundreds of people participate in the activity "Ao Dai and cycling for the environment"

On the morning of June 29, at Hue National University, the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue organized the activity "Ao Dai and cycling for the environment". The activity is in response to the Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024 taking place from June 24-30, chaired by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province and aims to celebrate Vietnam Tourism Day.

Hundreds of people participated in the activity "Ao Dai and cycling for the environment" in Hue city.

The event was attended by nearly 200 members including officials, employees, and workers of: Department of Tourism, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Institute for Development Studies, Tourism Association (with member associations: Travel, Hotels, Tour Guides), Business Association, Hue Women Entrepreneurs Association, School of Tourism (Hue University), Hue College of Tourism, units/enterprises operating in the field of tourism - services in Thua Thien Hue province. In addition, there was also the response of local people and tourists.

The event participants wore traditional Ao Dai and cycled through the central streets of Hue city following the route: Quoc Hoc Monument - Le Loi Street - Bui Thi Xuan Street - Da Vien Bridge - Le Duan Street - Quang Duc Gate - Ong Ich Khiem Street - Le Huan Street - Dang Thai Than Street - Doan Thi Diem Street - Mai Thuc Loan Street - Dinh Tien Hoang Street - Tran Hung Dao Street - Truong Tien Bridge - Le Loi Street - Quoc Hoc Monument with a length of about 8km.

The activity "Ao Dai with cycling for the environment" contributes to spreading the beautiful image of "Hue - Capital of Ao Dai", Hue - ASEAN Clean Tourist City".

According to the leader of the Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism, this is also an activity to mobilize local people and tourists to join hands in responding to the community sports movement, improving health and moving towards a "Green - Clean - Bright" Hue, widely spreading the title "Hue - ASEAN Clean Tourism City".

At the same time, this is also an opportunity for units and businesses operating in the tourism - service sector in Thua Thien Hue province to meet, exchange and introduce beautiful images of their units to join hands to promote tourism development.

"The event is a vibrant activity, attracting the attention of many people and tourists, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of "Hue - Ao Dai Capital", "Hue - ASEAN Clean Tourism City", towards building "Hue - Bicycle City"; at the same time raising public awareness of environmental protection", said Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism.
