
This morning (September 2), the National Flag Raising Ceremony was held at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi) to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day.

According to VTC News reporters, from 5:30 a.m., thousands of people were present in this area waiting to witness the sacred flag-raising ceremony.

At around 5:40 a.m., as the honor guards were preparing to perform the ceremony, the gates of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum were opened. With military music playing, the honor guard marched into Ba Dinh Square from the corner of Hung Vuong and Le Hong Phong streets.

The flag-raising ceremony consisted of 34 honor guards symbolizing the first 34 soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army, the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army.

At exactly 6am, the flag-raising ceremony began in a solemn atmosphere. Three soldiers carrying the national flag walked towards the flagpole to prepare for the ceremony.

The ceremony was solemn, the national flag was waved by the honor guard and fluttered in the air, slowly raised to the sound of "Marching Song".

Outside, people solemnly and attentively watched the red flag with yellow star flutter.

Among the thousands of people who came to witness the flag-raising ceremony to celebrate National Day on September 2, many people wore red shirts with yellow stars.

After performing the flag salute ceremony, the honor guard marched in a circle in front of Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, preparing to inspect the troops.
