Implementing the Project "Planting one billion trees" according to Decision No. 524 dated April 1, 2021 of the Prime Minister, on the afternoon of June 22, 2023, at Tan Lap lake area, Thuan Nam town.
Ham Thuan Nam organized a tree planting launching ceremony. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Binh Thuan Provincial Forest Protection Department, comrade Le Thi Bich Lien - Secretary of the District Party Committee and leaders, cadres, civil servants and public employees of agencies and units under Emulation Block No. 1, Emulation Block No. 2 of the district; Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited - Ham Thuan Nam Branch.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee emphasized: Promoting the tradition of planting trees initiated by Uncle Ho, making tree planting a truly practical emulation movement of all levels and sectors in each residential area, with the active participation of all people. The organization of the tree planting campaign this time has a very practical meaning, not only planting here, planting this year, but we also plant in many places and plant regularly to replicate the model of planting trees in the district, making the district increasingly have more trees, shade, contributing to protecting resources, protecting the ecological environment, increasing forest cover. The Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee requested cadres, civil servants, and public employees of the emulation blocks and clusters to strive to fulfill their tasks well in the spirit of Plan 189 of the District People's Committee. Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited - Ham Thuan Nam Branch preserves and takes good care of the number of planted trees to ensure a high survival rate, contributing to sustainable forest development in the district.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the leaders and all cadres, civil servants and public employees of the agencies and units organized the planting of 1,000 trees with varieties such as: Giáng Hương, Bằng Lăng and Sao Đen in the protection corridor area of the Tan Lap reservoir project.
According to the plan, after planting trees at Tan Lap Lake, we will continue to plant more than 2,000 trees at Du Du Lake, Ham Cuong Commune and Ta Mon Lake, Tan Lap Commune.
