On the morning of August 18, at the Eastern Cultural Center (Hai Duong), the Department of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Institute for Advanced Studies in Mathematics organized a conference to update knowledge on Fintech (financial technology), AI (artificial intelligence), Blockchain (blockchain technology), Cloud (cloud computing technology) for managers and policy makers.
Participating in the conference and directly sharing related issues were scientific researchers, leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Information and Communications and nearly a thousand guests including provincial leaders, businesses, students.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized: Hai Duong promotes the application of digital technology to create high value. The locality has identified a number of key tasks to develop platforms for digital transformation, prioritizing the application of a number of core technologies that can be a shortcut and have the ability to make strong breakthroughs such as AI, Blockchain, Fintech, Cloud, etc. Thereby creating new management, business models, products and services with high value.
Currently, Hai Duong is gradually applying AI and Big data technology to contribute to the development of three pillars: Digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
Mr. Thang emphasized that this is an opportunity to discuss, share opinions, and create new ideas to further exploit the great potential of digital technology in the socio-economic development of Hai Duong province. From there, it opens up a new vision in implementing digital transformation, making useful contributions to the fields and industries that agencies and units are managing.
Professor Ngo Bao Chau said: One of the two missions of the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics is to support the development of mathematical applications with some core issues such as big data processing, security, information encryption, etc.
Conference delegates listened to speakers introduce and give speeches about Blockchain with digital economy, AI with digital economy, AI application in digital government modernization, Fintech application and digital payment.
Thereby, clarifying a number of related issues such as data concentration, data sharing; needs, differences in using AI in enterprises and state agencies; information security on cloud computing platforms; impact of digital technology on the labor market; promoting digital payments as well as experience in developing and applying digital technology in a number of countries around the world.
In their presentations, the experts emphasized that they could coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications to research and pilot the first digital technology applications nationwide in the near future, such as some of Google's AI products. From there, there will be more opportunities to organize activities to promote mathematics, support mathematics education, and train and foster talents in mathematics and science in general.
Within the framework of the conference, a number of leading telecommunications enterprises such as VNPT Group, Viettel Group, FPT Group, MobiFone Corporation, Savis Company, NGS Company organized many booths to display and introduce digital technology solutions and products applying Fintech, AI, Blockchain, Cloud.
Hai Duong Department of Information and Communications has signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, the permanent unit coordinating the National Key Program for Mathematics Development.
