At the seminar, delegates heard solutions and results of developing party members among high school students in Ha Tinh.
In recent times, Ha Tinh has implemented synchronous solutions to develop party members among high school students. Accordingly, at the conferences to review and summarize party building work, conferences of the party building organization sector, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has directed the work of developing party members according to the set targets, ensuring the quality of admission, focusing on the large "room" of union members, youth, students and pupils.
Vice Principal of Cam Xuyen High School Vo Ta Tinh: Every year, the school issues a resolution on developing party members, thanks to which, each school year, the school admits 12-18 students into the party.
The Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee has coordinated with Ha Tinh Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station to produce reports and articles on party development in general and party development among high school students in particular to raise awareness and pride among students when joining the Party.
Principal of Ly Chinh Thang High School (Huong Son) Doan Trong Binh shared some solutions to develop party members among students at the school.
From the beginning of the school year, grassroots party organizations have assigned schools to survey, discover sources, develop plans, assign party members, organize youth unions to monitor, launch and train through school movements, gradually determine goals and ideals for students to strive for and practice, then select and train students who meet the standards and conditions to send to attend Party sympathy classes.
Principal of Dong Ha High School (Quang Tri) Ta Thi Thu Hien: Although the school has had many solutions in discovering and nurturing excellent students, the work of developing party members in the school still faces many difficulties, each year only admitting 1-2 party members.
Thanks to that, in recent years, the number of outstanding high school students sent to attend party sympathy classes each year is on average over 1,000 students, and the number of students admitted to the party is increasing.
Specifically: in 2020, 280 students/1,428 new party members were admitted (accounting for 19.6%); in 2021, 417 students/1,948 new party members were admitted (accounting for 21.4%); in 2022, 477 students/2,101 new party members were admitted (accounting for 22.7%); in the first 6 months of 2023, 564 students/1,259 new party members were admitted (accounting for 44.79%).
Deputy Head of the Organization Board of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Ho Ngoc Anh pointed out some difficulties and current status of party member development among high school students in the province.
Party members admitted in schools have promoted their pioneering and exemplary character, constantly cultivated moral qualities and a healthy lifestyle, had many outstanding achievements in studying and training, and always contributed and matured in all aspects.
Besides the achieved results, the work of recruiting party members among students in Ha Tinh still has limitations and difficulties such as: although the development of party members among students has changed positively, the following year is higher than the previous year, the ratio compared to the potential is still not high; the Youth Union organization in schools has not determined the importance of party development work among students, and lacks initiative in advising the Party Committee...
This discussion is an opportunity for localities, especially high schools in the province, to gain more experience and appropriate solutions to better develop party members in schools.
Hopefully, in the coming time, Ha Tinh and Quang Tri will continue to have more exchanges related to the work of developing party members, thereby helping Quang Tri have more perspectives and effective ways of doing things, gradually improving the quality of party member development in both quantity and quality.

Concluding the discussion, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Trung emphasized that through the discussion, delegates from the two provinces had the opportunity to share experiences and learn from each other's methods. Party committees and leaders of high schools attending today's discussion need to continue to study and absorb all exchanges, discussions, good practices, and lessons learned from localities, agencies, and units of other provinces in order to selectively apply them to the practical work of the Party, especially the work of creating sources and developing Party members of their units in the coming time to ensure consistency, effectiveness, regularity, and continuity.
