Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha requested the Department of Education and Training and related units to inspect and clarify the case of an 8th grade female student at Minh Duc Secondary School being beaten by a group of people.
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha has directed the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with Ung Hoa District People's Committee and related units to inspect and clarify the above information; and strictly handle (if there is any violation).
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Ung Hoa District, the incident occurred on the afternoon of May 11 in class 8A1 of Minh Duc Secondary School (Minh Duc Commune, Ung Hoa District). While in class, students NHA and NMN used their hands to hit student KTV on the head and face. Seeing his friend V. being beaten, male student D. used a water bottle to shield himself. At this time, student L. saw it, thought the group of friends were joking, so he recorded a video and shared it on a social networking group.
On May 16, the homeroom teacher of class 8A1 was informed of the incident and asked the group of students to write a report and self-criticism. Through initial verification, the reason A. and N. beat V. was spontaneous, not out of hatred. The school invited the parents to discuss, all 3 students realized their mistakes and promised not to repeat the offense.
On May 19, the incident became widely known when the video was widely circulated on social networks. Immediately afterwards, the Department of Education and Training of Ung Hoa District requested the Board of Directors of Minh Duc Secondary School to hold a meeting of the pedagogical council, inviting the parents and the 3 students who fought to attend to verify and clarify the content of the video.
At the conference, the parents of the three children agreed with the school's solution, hoping that the school and the Department of Education and Training of Ung Hoa District would consider creating conditions for the children to continue studying and promised to pay more attention to educating their children so that they would not repeat the above behavior.
