Kinhtedothi - Implementing Resolution No. 47/2024/NQ-HDND of the Hanoi People's Council regulating the implementation of Low Emission Zones in the capital, the City Traffic Safety Committee encourages people to actively switch to using green vehicles, limit the use of personal vehicles, and contribute to environmental protection.

The document of the City Traffic Safety Committee clearly stated that environmental protection in the Capital has always been a central issue, receiving special attention and top direction from the Central Government and the City's leaders. This is reflected in many important documents of the Central Government and the City and has been vigorously implemented in recent times.

Currently, environmental protection work in the new situation, especially in the field of urban transport, continues to pose many complex, serious, and urgent problems requiring many breakthrough solutions, the participation of the entire political system, and especially the consensus and support of all classes of people.

Pursuant to Resolution No. 47/2024/NQ-HDND dated December 12, 2024 of the Hanoi People's Council stipulating the implementation of Low Emission Zones in the capital, to carry out a number of urgent tasks to prevent and resolve environmental pollution in the field of urban transport, the City Traffic Safety Committee requests the Department of Culture and Sports to preside over and guide coordination with relevant agencies to mobilize people in the city, especially in the districts of Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Tay Ho, to actively switch to using green, clean vehicles and participating in public transport.

At the same time, limit the use of personal vehicles, especially those using fossil fuels, contributing to protecting the capital's environment in the field of urban transport.

Hanoi encourages people to actively switch to using green vehicles to protect the environment.

The Department of Education and Training strengthens the education of students at all levels about the meaning and importance of environmental protection; incorporates green traffic education into the education of legal knowledge on traffic order and safety at schools.

People's Committees of districts: Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Tay Ho: Develop a plan to organize propaganda and raise awareness of the community in actively switching to using green, clean, environmentally friendly vehicles and actively using public transport; innovate the content and form of propaganda, dissemination and education of environmental protection laws to be easy to understand, easy to absorb, suitable for each area, each locality and age;

Prioritize daily time and build weekly columns on local mass media to disseminate mechanisms, legal policies, law enforcement work of competent authorities, models and experiences in solving environmental pollution in the world and in the country to create strong changes in awareness, consensus and unity of action in the entire political system and the entire population on environmental protection, especially in the field of urban transport.
