At 1:00 a.m. on September 13, the water level of the Red River at the Hanoi hydrological station (Long Bien bridge area) dropped to 10.39m, below alert level II of 10.5m.
Similarly, the water level of the Duong River at Thuong Cat hydrological station at 0:00 on September 13 was measured at 9.94m, 10.0m below alarm level II.
Implementing regulations on flood warnings, on the morning of September 13, the Hanoi City Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue issued Orders No. 70 and 71 to withdraw level II flood warnings on the Red River and Duong River.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Hanoi City requested the districts of Bac Tu Liem, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Thanh Tri, Dong Anh, and Gia Lam to strictly implement regulations when there is an order to withdraw flood warnings on the Red River and Duong River.
Although the water level of the Red River and Duong River has dropped below alert level II, it is still above alert level I. The Hanoi Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue warns that the flooding situation is still complicated, and riverside localities need to continue to closely monitor floods on rivers to proactively respond.
